Great tour of the heart of Ancient Rome. Ivana was an excellent guide and provided us with historical info, great view angles for pics and showed us before and after views of when first built and today. Lots of steps and steep in the colosseum so know that up front.

Ivana, our guide was absolutely awesome. She was thoroughly knowledgeable. She knew the history, dates, kings, emporers, and architecture details. Knowledge flowed from her effortlessly. We were honestly stunned. She brought the tour alive. She included humour. She had visual aids, and even sound bytes from the Gladiator movie. We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour.

My son and I joined a small group led by Kopal, at the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Forum tour. I cannot praise her enough for her knowledge of subject matter, enthusiasm for her work and above all, patience for the group. She is a credit to the industry and I would encourage her to keep doing what see does and she does it extremely well. If you are lucky enough to be allocated to Kopal, you will have a fantastic historical tour of the great sites in Rome

Knowledgeable tour!

This tour was fabulous! We came early June so it was 80 degrees but could have been a lot hotter. The guide did a wonderful job seeking shade when our group stopped to view certain sections of the coliseum. She was very knowledgeable. Our group was 9 people and made it easy to navigate!

The Forum steals the show

Everyone gets excited by the Colosseum—as they should—but the tone in the Roman Forum was just as interesting and even more educational. In the 20 years since I was last in Rome they’ve excavated so much more and you can get some sense of the grandness of the palaces by seeing so much more of Tiberius’s palace. Our guide (Andrea) was extremely knowledgeable and had an engaging personality as well.

Felt rushed and incomplete

The guide was fine. But I don't know if it was the tour outline or the older group but we skipped half the forum and the forum interested me more then the colluseuem so with skipping half I can't really recommend this tour. Second thing is all the other tours used pictures and illustrations to tell a story. Our guide did not. Also guide said collsusuem was built in ten years which isn't true. Most Archaeologist agree it was done in 7. 8 tops. I added a star because being with a tour got us into Forum and colluesuem gast which was nice.

Too long

We entered and exited every gate for the same view of the colosseum.. Tiring and too long. The garden we visited next was great. But by then we were too tired. A better option is to cut the time in colosseum and give the tickets to people if they want to go back after the tour.

Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Foto Romano are a must see. These sites are best seen with a tour guide as they know the short cuts and best viewing places. And, there is no waiting in line to get in. Great tour guide with great knowledge of history and explained well. I highly recommend this tour.

Palatine Hill's Story is Fantastic and Overwhelming! Jo "our guide" was informative and engaging. Stories were colorful and brought the Kings, Emperors, The Ruling Families, Constantine, Julius Caesar and more to real life...it seems they were still present.

Great 3 hours of info and sight seeing

Check the whole area for the group pick up as the directions is a rough guide Take plenty of water/fluids Wear good walking shoes/trainers Take snacks/sweets Keep up with guide as the head phones will not give you enough coverage and you loose the conversation.
