We arrived on time- received directions on where to go. We had to wait 1/2 hour just to be let in. You are supposedly allowed to enter 15 before your scheduled time. I went 8 min early & was told to come back at 10 am. Went back at 10 am & then was told you have to wait until your scheduled time at 10:15 am because it was to busy. They then shut off everyone from entering & then the line was 2x as long. It was overcrowded & really not the greatest experience. Suggestion would be 1st entry in am- had to be better than 10:15 am.

The office staff was rather rude. Especially when we informed them that we had lost our wallet. There were no bathroom facilities. The tour guide had a very thick accent and was hard to understand in English. The audio was crackling and difficult to hear. The company refused to return our money when my mother was unable to continue the tour after 20 min because of back pain.

Tour itself was wonderful. Having to arrive at 1:50 for a 2:05 tour to then be advised it would be 2:45 was very disappointing. Plus it said headphones included and they were NOTz only could listen off the cell phone which was not usable with the crowds and noise

Tour ad is misleading. ‘Official live guide’ is an audio app. No headphones provided and numbers on ruins did not match the audio. Booked for 10.00 and our colosseum tour was not until 12.00.

It was wonderful to experience the inside of the Colosseum without line and without wait! Our guide was amazing at giving us info and history about Rome and the Colosseum itself! My only problem was he spoke a little too fast and the headphones were not working properly on the left side! However, overall it was great!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. DO NOT DO A TOUR THRU VIATOR. I scheduled a tour for The Colosseum in Rome, arriving at their designated location 45 minutes prior to the scheduled time and no one ever showed. I messaged the tour guide 4 times with no response, so we had to leave without entering because the tour guide supposedly had the tickets. It ruined the entire day and we had to go back on a different day and stand in line to purchase more tickets. Viator will not give me a refund even though they can see that I messaged the tour guide multiple times with no response. I feel that should be enough evidence to show the guide was clearly not communicating, therefore not there to do the tour. Also, Viator does not have an easy way for contact if you have a problem. Save yourself the hassle and go thru another tour guide!!!

Warning for all. Do not go for this tour operator. They are cheating people. We were 10 mins late only and we were not allowed to go for the guided tour. Firstly, the location is not easy to find. All other tour operators had their representatives outside the metro station but this operator did not have anyone to guide. We reached 30 mins ahead of the start time but were misguided by some locals to go up the hill only to later realize we were wrong. Secondly, every tour guide allows a reasonable 10-15 min leeway for any customer. It is only fair when you pay 100 euro for the tickets!! We reached exactly 10 mins late and the operator Mr. Osamah spent the next 30 mins arguing with us. Instead he could have easily made us catch up to the tour group. In 10 mins, the tour group would not even have made in past security check and we could have easily caught up with the group. He was extremely rude and obnoxious and a bully. He was with another man who was very aggressive and threatening. We had signed up for a guided tour. We acknowledged we were late so atleast we could be given our entry tickets to the Colosseum and we could have done the tour by ourselves. This was not allowed as Mr. Osamah said he didnt have any tickets left. Where did the tickets disappear? We strongly feel our tickets were given to some other tourists and tour operator had been opportunistic. As there is only online reservation possible for Coloseum entry tickets, we were left stranded as we couldnt book the tickets online for the same day. We had 1 day in Rome and it was completely wasted. I warn all of you to be careful when booking with this team.
