This was a very comprehensive tour with Kiara that lasted between two and three hours, so do bring water and wear comfy shoes as there are lots of cobbled pavements. The tour was at a comfortable pace. We met at a meeting point opposite the Colosseum - up the steps from the main road outside the Primary School. We loved the tour and thoroughly recommend it. Thanks Kiara.

Lumi, our guide, was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. She also used a book with pictures as she explained all the areas of the Colosseum which made the experience more understandable. I highly recommend this outstanding guide who was a former teacher which explains why her presentation was excellent.

We were really looking forward to this tour, but unfortunately it was very difficult to understand our guide. She was well intentioned but we only understood a fraction of what was said due to her accent. She also talked the entire 2.5 hours instead of stopping at specific places to share more impactful information that you could focus on. Several of us have been on tours before and got much more out of the experience due to having guides who were great storytellers. Honestly, I think we would have been better off doing a podcast guide.

Sam was an excellent tour guide - incredibly knowledgeable and a great sense of humor! He spent even more time than allotted explaining interesting details along the way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone & everyone interested in learning more about ancient Rome!

Tour guide was excellent. Her energy and knowledge made this such an awesome tour. Commentary was excellent not too much. Pace of the tour was good. Started at the Forum, then Palatine Hill. Well covered in a short amount of time. Of course the Colosseum was super crowded. Again guide did a good job keeping the group together and getting us quickly through the lines. I thought our time here was too short. Limited commentary here. Of course you could spend as long as you liked inside but the tour was over very quickly after reaching the viewing balcony.

Our guide, David, MADE this experience. He was the perfect amount of funny, charming and informative, while also providing us with recommendations on local spots to eat/drink. We loved our tour with him so much that we decided to book an evening tour of the Pantheon with him as well. We could not recommend this enough!

I have been on many many tours all around the world and I have never seen someone perfect the craft of being a tour Guide as well as David Bataglino. He is passionate, funny, is a GREAT history teller and made this tour so good all the other ones ive been since then are boring. Congrats David, you should sell online courses on how to be a tour guide!

Radu, the most unassuming tour guide, made our tour unforgettable! He was hilarious yet passionate about the history of Ancient Rome. My two teen boys were engaged the entire tour as he explained historical facts in a way that was easy to understand through his gift of story telling. We wish Radu was our tour guide for every Italian tour!

David was an awesome tour guide. He was very easy to understand, full of great information, very entertaining, and did a great job of keeping the group in the shade during the summer heat. He also was so kind to my family and my 1 year old son, making sure we always had a spot in the shade when we stopped. He went at a comfortable pace, my group spanned from 1 years old to 84 years old and it was good for everyone.
Also, he had a great strategy for getting up to the rails to get good pictures - it was so fun! I would book with David as a guide again, he made the experience great! One of the better tour guides I've had.

Emailed tour company to inform them that we could not get there until 1320 was told that was not a problem and when we got there they tried to say we could not join the tour as its to late then did not want to give us the tickets. However in the end we got the tickets but not tour guide not happy as we even spoke to the tour guide who refused us.

Thank you for your feedback. We regret you missed the Colosseum tour. While we understand delays happen, Colosseum entry times for our guided tours are strict (ours was 1:15 PM). Pre-booked tickets become invalid after this time.
We appreciate you contacting us, but a miscommunication might have occurred. Our priority is ensuring a smooth experience for the entire group who arrived on time. We did wait briefly, but the guide had to proceed to avoid further delays.

Giuseppe did a great job explaining the history of the coliseum and how it fits in Rome’s history. He provided such interesting details that you could almost see the days of the gladiators. We appreciated that he took breaks for photos or rest for a minute. Glad the company uses headsets. Overall very good experience.

David was an amazing tour guide! So knowledgeable and engaging for all ages! His humor was entertaining and he told history through stories. This was a packed agenda tour! With lots of history about the colosseum, Roman people & the culture of time. The guide was amazing! Very knowledgeable, pleasant & certainly aware of the weather challenges (100 degrees) a very worthwhile experience!

We had an amazing tour of the Colosseum & Amphitheater and Ancient Rome with our guide, David Battaglino. David was knowledgeable, entertaining (we all laughed throughout the 3 hour tour) and patient. He made learning about Italian history fun! There were 12 of us, ranging in age from 18-80 and we all agreed that David’s tour was one of our favorite activities that we shared together while in Rome. Thank you, David!
