Booking a small group tour turned out to be the best way to experience the Colosseum and the Forum. Martina turned up and straight away engaged with our 11 year old son and answered every single question. She was a wonderful tour guide and we very much enjoyed our visit to this wonderful place.

This was a great Coloseum tour. Would definitely take again. Easy to find guide, very friendly. There was a hiccup with the original guide falling ill, and was kept in the loop and updated via WhatsApp

We had a 1:30 PM tour of the Colosseum and the Roman forum. My children are ages nine and 11. Martina was the perfect guide. She knew how to explain the history of Rome in a fun way and answered my children’s questions expertly, using an iPad and photos for visual support. She also understood how their energy was and when it was time to play a game - as we stopped in the forum to play an ancient rock game. It was a wonderful tour.

We had a fantastic experience with this company and Rosella! Our tour was unfortunately delayed by a different tour (booked through Viator) which went 2 hours past time, out of our control. The company was wonderful! Instead of delaying or cancelling our tour, they last minute were able to offer us a private experience and tailored it to our kids attitudes and needs. Prior to meeting up with our guide, our kids were exhausted, hot, and quite frankly out of energy for tourism after a long day. Immediately she engaged them in a way that transformed their entire attitude. She also planned the visit through the Colosseum to keep them intentionally in the shade and comfortable. She showed them priceless antiques and taught them how to fight like gladiators. They learned, played, and had a wonderful time. Our kids stated this was their best experience in Rome. Cannot thank this company and Rosella enough!!!

Excellent tour enjoyed by the whole family. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and was great with the kids. She included a toilet stop and water bottle re-fill during the tour which was much appreciated!

It was so busy and challenging to see everything but Alessandra guided us effortlessly through the crowds and helped us to get all the information and unforgettable views! The forum was missing the Palatine Hill - but it was so busy I'm not sure the kids would have made it up there!

I was very impressed with this tour. The tour guide broke down the information and away that both of my children (ages six and nine years old) could understand. It was also engaging and informative for the adults. The tour guide made every effort to, explain the incredible history and secrets behind what we were seeing. He was very accommodating toward all families on the tour. He was very clear and provided headsets for us that we could hear him clearly. He went at a pace that was perfect for my 70 year old mother to be able to keep up. I highly recommend this tour. It was worth every penny!

Valeria is a super guide. We did the tour with another family who encountered an issue with not having a photo id to enter. Valeria did everything she could to help correct the situation. She is patient and knowledgeable and made our family trip memorable. We were also lucky to have her on our Vatican tour the next day. Thank you for everything!

In the description, it says that they cap (max) at 12 people, saying that it was an intimate and small group tour. We paid a hefty price for a group with few people. We were 16! I was deceived and lied to. Our guide Kate though, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and engaging.

I would give this review zero stars if I could. I booked both our transfer from the cruise ship and this excursion through Viator. The customer service person told me to allow an hour and a half to get there and it would be plenty of time. We got stuck in traffic, and were late to meet our group, who was meeting outside the main entrance at a bus stop. Both myself and our driver were in constant communication with the tour operator, and they knew the situation. The tour operator was cold and rude and didn’t care. Once we got there, we asked about meeting where they were, the tour operator refused to tell us. As we walked up to the front, the tour operator waved to my husband and smiled, then went in without us. We had to purchase new tickets for the colosseum and do the tour ourselves with 4 small kids. I’ll be contacting my credit card company to dispute this charge because it’s not right or ethical.

We are family of four and our 2 boys 8 and 10 y/o had really fun tour and activities with Martina our tour guide. All is worth it. Martina is an awesome guide. Highly recommended.
The staff from viator and travel company communicates well. My recommendation is get there ahead of time as you never know the traffic in Rome. We thought we will be late and I kept them informed that we got stuck on the traffic but we made it on time...

Oh we just loved Donato! He was so great with the kids and I loved his energy. We played fun games, kids vs adults, learned history and saw a lot of fun details you might not notice on your own. Between the colosseum and the forum, it was a really wonderful tour and thankful we had Donato to lead the way. Highly recommend. Grazie mille!
