Alessandra was an absolutely wonderful guide and a delight to learn from! She was engaging with the children and very patient. Communication with this tour group was wonderful as well. Highly recommended!

This tour was great for all ages! Our tour guide was so engaging and great with the kids! He had pictures and stories that were so educational and fun to hear! His pace was perfect. He was accommodating for the children and for my elderly mother. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Valeria was so good with our kids and we enjoyed everything she shared with us. We are very happy with our decision to get a private guide. The Vatican was incredibly, impossibly, inconceivably crowded. Alessandra knew exactly how to navigate the throngs to get us the best experience possible.
Where the group tours had to follow a set route, Alessandra guided us to benches and bathrooms as the kids required them. The museum staff actively manage traffic. As one gallery fills, they divert the crowds to adjacent galleries. Alessandra noticed that and had us wait at a nearby bench until a gallery reopened a few minutes later so that we would not be stuck in the crowds. It made the entire tour far more relaxing and just more enjoyable.
My seven year old daughter is very active and can struggle with boredom in museums. Alessandra kept her engaged with scavenger hunt type games where she earned points every time she spotted a dove, or a dragon, or the crossed keys of the Vatican's crest. She had an absolute blast and thought it was the very best experience in Rome.

This private-tour experience optimized not only our time but also our learning and enjoyment within the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter's Basilica. Our energetic, enthusiastic and engaging guide presented all the information in an entertaining and easy-for-our-eight-year-old-daughter-to-follow way! The care and attention our guide provided our daughter exceeded any expectations we may have had for a "family" tour: making learning fun with games; watching out for the safety of a child in crowded area; responding to any of our questions and concerns in a personable, friendly manner. The alternative touring choices cannot match our positive and most memorable experience on this tour. Highest recommendation for families who can't wait to experience and learn more about the Vatican!

The highlights of all the Vatican museums were great and with care to involve the kids in the exhibits, but the treat for my grandson was St Peter ‘S basilica. Our guide Bruno was very engaging.

It was fantastic experience, both for kids and the parents. Absolutely worth it- informative and interesting! Our guide- an art historian was very competent, lovely, patient and was answering all of our (plenty) of questions. Kids loved it. We loved it! Highly recommend if you plan to go with kids/teens to Vatican and you want them to be enchanted!

Our guide was great, and especially amazing with the kids and keeping them occupied. The tour through the museum was so long and there were so many people that we sadly skipped the sistine chapel. This tour may not be worth it with small kids if you are wanting to see both. I would recommend maybe only one as it was way too much walking with kids, and adults. Or maybe go super early and not at 2:00 as it was way too busy.

Julia was an exceptional guide, who did an excellent job of keeping three generations (ages 12, 51 and 74) completely enthralled. As well as the main attractions of the Sistine chapel and room of maps, she took us to a couple of exhibits that were unique, interesting and away from the crowds and other tour groups. She did an amazing job of setting the scene and explaining the history of the Sistine chapel. We all had a great time.

I was worried that the Vatican Museum might be a bit dry for my two boys - 6 and 8 - but they had a fantastic time. Donato was a great guide who focussed on things that interested them and set them challenges to find certain things. The adults enjoyed it too and learnt a lot also.

Donato was a very friendly guide. He was very good at keeping my two young kids, 5 and 7, engaged throughout the tour. I highly recommend anyone with kids to book a kid-friendly guide when visiting Vatican. The overwhelming crowd, scorching weather (most of galleries had no AC) and long walk already make it nearly impossible to keep the kids happy. Without Donato's effort we would have all given up halfway.

This was an interesting tour. The Vatican museums are very large and can be overwhelming, so it was helpful to be guided through and have some key pieces discussed. My children (age 10/12) were largely engaged, though the content and tour overall didn't seem to be geared towards children/families, or different to a regular tour.
I did not realise when booking that the tour does not cover St Peter's Basilica so we had to queue separately for that (its a very long line!) and had no guide to explain the key features inside, which was a bit disappointing.
Overall worth it, but be aware of the scope!

This was a wonderful tour for my teenage children. Alessandra was a very knowledgable guide that engage the family. We skipped the line tickets we visited the Vatican museum and the Sistine Chapel. Saint Peter Basilica we had to visit on our own the line moved quickly.

Me and my 11 years old son had made the tour in October-2020 with Maria is a wonderful guide and highly recommended.
She is so handsome and has made the 3 hour tour so exciting and interesting for us.
She knows a lot of the history and has a brilliant way to bring all her knowledge easy and also spiced with a lot of fun and jokes to us.
She developed a game especially for kids with mAny interesting facts about historical facts and personalities-that was so smart.

There were clear instructions about where we should meet our tour guide, Martina. We knew as soon as we met Martina we would have a great tour with her. She was really friendly and great with the kids (aged 9 - 15) focusing in on them straightaway. Martina was really knowledgeable and flexible to our needs. For example, after a couple of hours walking, we were all quite tired, Martina found a quiet place for us all to sit (away from the crowds) to tell us about the Sistine Chapel. The tour was meant to be three hours, but Martina happily stayed for another 45 mins or so while we took in the Basilica. Excellent tour, thank you. Thoroughly recommend.

While in Rome and Florence I used Viator fir several tours. This was one of them and they have all been excellent. My children are ages 15, 12, 10. Colosseum tour with Alessandra was great!The pizza/gelato tour with Marco is exceptional. He’s amazing! Food tour with Matteo was unbelievable and Sistine Chaoel tour with Simone was also great!!So far while in Florence we have had. Cooking class that was great! And 3 hour tour this morning at davinci museum and David. Her name was Rose and she was exceptional!!Viator has been providing us with great experiences and we are so happy we took a chance with them. Heading to Venice and Paris next week. I’ll update my review after tours we have planned there.

This was one of the best tours I’ve been too. Even though it was marketed as a kid’s tour, the information provided had relevance and substance. The kids as well as the adults enjoyed the tour and learned a lot from it.
