Just outside Colosseo underground station, ground level (there is only one exit, just in front of the monument). If you get the metro (Line B) just go outside, if you take a taxi, it will leave you on the upper floor, so you should go downstairs to reach the ground floor and the meeting point.

This was a great tour — very well organized and extremely family-friendly! We toured the Colosseum with our three kids (ages 5, 8, and 10), and it was engaging and enjoyable for all of us. The guide was knowledgeable and made the history come alive in a way that kept both adults and kids interested.
Everything was easy from start to finish, and we appreciated the thoughtful pacing and kid-friendly explanations throughout. Highly recommend this tour to families visiting Rome!

Wonderful tour with an amazing tour guide. Julia stopped in shady spots on our hot day and engaged all the children in stories and games. I would recommend filling little bellies up with snacks before the tour since it is a jam packed tour. We all loved this experience.

This was a perfect way to learn for adults and kids alike. Our group had kids 6-10 and the content was perfect for all of them. They stayed engaged the entire 2.5 hours and walked away energized about the history. Really glad we picked this tour as it was equally great for adults.

Donato, our guide, was amazing! He was wonderful with the kids (a highlight was getting to play a 2000-year old game at the Forum), and we all learned a lot and had the best time!

On a scorching hot day in peak season with thousands of people visiting, our host, Alessandra did an excellent job, keeping us all very well informed with really interesting information, keeping the kids engaged and managing us around such a crowded place finding shade and points to rest while keeping the tour moving. It was not an easy job at all and she did it fantastically well. It was such a great experience to be guided around such an incredible place so well. Thanks so much Alessandra!

The meeting location stated "colosseo, piazza del colosseo" so imprecise as to cause us to check with numerous groups to find our guide, to no avail. Telephone calls and voice message left the day before went unresponded to. We qrrived before 9 for a 9:30 meeting and were told we were late when we finally licated the guide across the street and not easily visible. Not the guide's fault. Valeria did a wonderful tour. Shame on the tour operators for poor communication. By the way: an 81 year old woman, a 75 year old woman, and a 26 year old girl. Hot weather!

Felt very rushed, didn’t use the full time, and all the kids were completely zoned out. We spent a lot of money (over $100 per person) and it definitely wasn’t worth the money.

Alessandra was delightful and such a knowledgeable guide. We took the tour with our 4 year old and another family who had 6 year old twins. Our tour guide, Donato, was nothing short of amazing. He instantly created a connection with the children in our group by learning each of their names and engaging them with stories and games. The tour flew by, because Donato made it so wonderfully interesting for all ages. I honestly didn’t want it to end! I cannot recommend this tour enough. Being able to skip the line, plus being able to hear from an expert, made this so much more enjoyable than if we had tried to do this on our own. Thank you, Donato!

Excellent option for families with kids who get bored easily! Our guide was informative and kept the kids involved around ever corner with questions and pictures. It was so hot the day we went and she made sure there was always a spot in the shade and made sure everyone was ok before we moved to the next spot.

I received the instructions ahead of time, but there was pivotal information missing. If you book this, try and get in contact with the organizer asap before standing out there lost! My confirmation showed that the tour guide was "Pinocchio Tours", SO I looked for that name and asked around but no one had heard of it. I CALLED the number I was provided so many times AND sent multiple messages via Viator and no one ever answered. It was absolute mayhem in that specific area with all of the other tour companies. FINALLY someone called me and said they were waiting for me with a sign with my name on it, and it wasn't even my correct name. Why wouldn't they explain in the meetup instructions that someone would be holding a small piece of paper with my name on it???? We were ONLY looking for the tall poles that other tours held with their company names. Just EXTREMELY unorganized. We finally found our tour guide, but the tour just felt pretty rushed. I couldn't take pictures at my leisure. I booked a kids tour because we had our 3 year old, but it was way too rushed. I think it should have been a slightly slower paced experience since it is meant for kids. Maybe it was so rushed because it took us 25 minutes just to find the guide. Not worth the money I spent.

Our guide, Alessandra, was knowledgeable, fun and engaging. She brought visual aides to help us picture what it was like in the colosseum in it’s hey day and had numerous fun facts to share with us. She took care to make sure we stayed hydrated and found shaded spots for us to stay cool. Our 11 year old had a great time and learned so much, as did his grandmother and parents!

We loved our time with Donato! We went with our 6-year-old daughter and although shy at first, Donato was able to interact with her after a while. We really recommend this tour for families with children. Donato uses sounds and games with children and makes some mini breaks for these activities where children (and adults) get a chance to sit for a while. We got to see the most important parts and learn more about it all. Thanks, Donato!
