Horrible tour of a magnificent historic site

I wouldn’t even give a star but, absolutely the worst tour ever. First of all it was supposed to be in English it was not. The guide could neither speak or understand English. We were supposed to be a small group we were not. We were at the end of the line and she left us three times. Text communication with the company and was refunded zero. This was a very expensive tour that we didn’t see even half of. I suggest you pay the regular fee and do it yourself…. Very disappointing!!!!!

A bit of a let down

Unfortunately the tour guide was a let down for us. We could hardly understand her and didn’t really make the information very exciting or interesting. We were shown pictures in a folder…tattered pictures, whilst other tour guides around us had more interesting stories and anecdotes we overheard…and they used iPads for their pictures. It was a VERY hot afternoon, however a few water breaks would’ve been appreciated.

A must-do when visiting rome!

Tour was great, we went to places we would not have seen on foot. I recommend doing this toward the beginning of your trip so you can see all the sites and then decide where to spend more time. We have 10 and 12 yr old and they loved the break from walking. We were picked up at our front door. He accommodated us and stopped for coffee and later sandwiches when the kids were hungry. Would highly recommend!

The tour itself was very good, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and excellent in her explanations. Only problem we had was finding the meeting point. Our taxi driver dropped us off at Piazza del Colosseo (thankfully as close as he could get), but no signs anywhere for our meeting point). I just happened to ask someone and they were the tour leaders. Only suggestion… make the meeting point location more definitive and visible. Otherwise definitely recommend this tour.

We loved our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable about everything! The information and how all three venue's hooked together was so great! I loved learning about the different ways Roman’s celebrated and their palaces along with their games in the colluseum.

Angelica was a fantastic guide and the information she provided was wonderful! . I was under the impression I was booking a semi private tour, but it was a huge group of people. It would’ve been nice to have of a smaller group. I recommend Angelica!

We loved this tour of ancient Rome. Our guide was a lot of fun and quizzed us on interesting facts about the ruins. Lots of walking, but a really great tour. I highly recommend it. Bring a lot of water if in the summer, it can get very very hot. Not too much shade.
