The Borghese Gallery is incredibly beautiful with many noteworthy pieces of art. It is almost overwhelmingly beautiful.

Missed the tour do to poor Transportion to the Museum Tour Guide could not wait any longer understandable. But were lucky able to buy the last tickets to the Gallery.

The Borghese has been defiled by the imposition of woke art. One of the intricate Roman tile floors was covered with graffiti making political statements. Another room had hundreds of dung balls hung from the ceiling, obscuring the Renaissance painting. What a disappointment.

Tour guide was excellent. He really knew what he was talking about and had a passion for it. Really enjoyed the experience.

Francesco was amazing! Through his knowledge, insight, and passion was the best way to view the GALLERIA BORGHESE. This was my first experience and my wife’s second and we cannot over state how well Francesco conducted his tour. We even identified some “tag alongs” because the information was superb. We typically do not write reviews however, this tour was by far our favorite in our week long Roma adventure.

Our tour guide was knowledgeable. We did learn a great deal. However, his surprising, disparaging remarks against a religious group were distasteful.

Amazing tour with an enthusiastic expert. It was much less crowded than other places. We came to Rome to see Bernini and it definitely didn’t disappoint. There was ample time to enjoy the art. Best tour we did in Rome (also did forum, colosseum, Vatican museum, St. Peter’s basilica).

The Borghese has a wonderful collection of art. We had a very knowledgeable tour guide which made for a terrific experience.

Our tour guide was excellent.....very knowledgeable about the sculptures and paintings in the Borghese as well as the sculptors and artists who created these wonderful art exhibits.

Excellent tour. Amazing exhibition. The guide really brought everything to life and told a great story. Plus so knowledgeable and interesting. Both my children were really engaged.

We were so lucky to have Giovanna guide us through the Gallery, she is an amazing story teller and is incredibly passionate! Highly recommend !

Caterina is an amazing guide! She was so enthusiastic and understanding to all the members of the tour group. She kept the tour moving at a comfortable pace, and is very knowledgeable about the artwork and explained the pieces in a very relatable and interesting way keeping all of us engaged. Everyone could follow along and she was easy to understand and keep up with. Caterina allowed time to appreciate all of the highlighted pieces and knew which ones were the most important and those we could spend less time on. By the end of the tour everyone knew so much more about the Borghese family. Having a guide made such a difference to learn and appreciate the museum so much more than just seeing it on our own. After going to the Vatican museum it was such a nice change to go here to a smaller and more unique museum. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed this tour and how Caterina presented all the information to us. I had no idea how amazing Bernini was until I saw all of these pieces. I loved how Caterina brought them all to life for us and highly recommend her and this tour!

Fantastic! Manny with Livtours was an **excellent** tour guide and knew the Borghese Gallery's art and history inside and out. He had a great energy. He brought the art alive through nothing short of a professional docent experience, helping us see nuances and connections and understand context. Clearly he knows art and art history very well and loves it too. His style was so engaging and lively, and he paced the tour perfectly. He connected with each person in the group like magic. This was our last activity in Rome -- we are SO glad we did not miss visiting the incredible Borghese Gallery with charming and elegant Manny (Manuelo?) Totally recommend to anyone visiting Rome - do not miss.

We were most fortunate to have Martha as our tour guide. Her knowledge of art history was extraordinary and gave us so much background information about each of the exhibits. We learned much as we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful art - especially the Ballini sculptures.

Our God was absolutely so knowledgeable and passionate about the education that he passed along to our intimate group. I would absolutely do this to her again and again thank you!

Raffy was very knowledgeable and kind. Great tour! Would recommend ~ but be aware lots of standing in one place.

As our scheduling worked out, we booked two LivTours in the same day... Colosseum in the morning (8am) and Borghese Gallery in the afternoon (3pm). This was totally doable, and both guides we had today were excellent. Of the 9 previous guided tour experiences (over 4 years), this is in the top 3. While some folks may skip the Borghese given all of the things to see in Rome, we would encourage you to take a serious look at adding this tour to your schedule. The gallery is beautiful, and from experiences in museums on our own, you will certainly enjoy your time better with a guide.

Eva was perfectly enthusiastic and knowledgeable from an Art History perspective. She gave life and background to all the works seen at Villa Borghese. Highly recommend.
Robert_S, Oct 2024
Elisa certainly brought to life the Borghese Gallery collection, melding knowledge of the artworks with the life and times of their creators. Do not miss this tour if possible.

Our guide, Marco, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, personable, engaging and funny. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The gallery itself and the art was magnificent! Understanding the history of it with Marco made it that much more so!

We had a great experience with Laura. She was very knowledgeable and personable, we had a great time! We arrived early for our tour. I had read earlier about tours with people having issues with being unable to find the meeting spot, it’s pretty simple. Our tour was at 3pm. We arrived at 2:45pm and easily found Laura. She suggested we wait down by the reception desk, which we did, while Laura waited for the other 2 participants. By 3:15 they had yet to arrive. At 3:20 we started our tour. The gallery closes at 5. Apparently the people who could not get to the tour on time created issues, by this time it was about 4 pm. This is not acceptable. We made sure to arrive early and paid a premium for this experience. Their tardiness shortened our experience, they should apologize to us! Instead Laura was castigated for starting the tour- totally unacceptable

Marco did a great job of describing the Bernini works and stories of what was happening with the sculpture and the motion involved. Also the amazing talent of Bernini to make marble look like flowing fabric or the impression of a man’s firm grasp pressing into a leg while lifting. The time given by the Borghese Gallery ( 2 hrs and you are out) is short for the volume. You hardly have time for Bernini and Caravaggio and we were in a 6 person tour. Marco did a great job of getting us around larger groups through his relationship with other guides! Excellent…a must do!

This was a great tour! Our guide was so enthusiastic. And very knowledgeable. I've been to Rome before, but never the Borghese Gallery. I highly recommend it. There are some can't-miss pieces there, including some breathtaking Bernini sculptures. Tour took about two hours, which felt like the right amount of time.
sarah_h, Jul 2024
The sculptures and paintings were amazing but our guide was what really brought them to life. He was an anthropologist and lecturer and gave tours in his off time. His passion for his field was evident and made our visit special.
Lisa_K, Jun 2024
What an amazing collection of art! Paintings by Caravaggio and beautiful sculptures by Bernini. Our guide was so knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. One of our Rome highlight tours.

As I just wrote on another review, 99% of any tour depends on the guide. And Sylvia, our guide of the Borghese Gallery, is one of the best! She is highly knowledgeable and (as important) passionate about the works of art she showed us in this incredible gallery. Her enthusiasm was infectious among our small group. While we might have seen and admired the works without her, she gave us the information we needed to truly appreciate the wonderful art and its place in history. Grazie mille, Sylvia!

Art was beautiful and our guide Sylvia was so knowledgeable and very nice. I learned a lot about the pieces in there

Excellent tour. Francesca was great and very knowledgeable. We saw a truly amazing collection of sculptures and paintings and also learned things about them from Francesca that enriched the experience over what we would have noticed without her trained eye.
