Martina was the best tour guide we’ve ever had (and we have a lot of experience with museum tours). She was so knowledgeable, patient, kind, and engaging. Her storytelling skills are exceptional. She inspired our teenage daughters to want to learn about mythology and art history. They loved every minute of our time with Martina. We all learned so much from her!

Booked this tour same day and the booking and execution was seamless. We met right in front of the entrance and the organizer and guide were ready for our small group. Our guide Virginia was very very knowledgeable and told us just enought to keep our interest without going into too much. The time passed quickly and I really recommend the later afternoon as it wasnt as busy and if possible book the small group tour it is worth the money to look at the artwork up close in a tiny group. Virginia was very good , highly recommend!!

Not to paint it all “rainbows and sunshines” - all these guided tours depend on the guide and the group you end up in.
Our experience was absolutely spectacular!
Alessandra was phenomenal! We wish we could have this guide for all history/art/architecture things that we had booked. Extensive knowledge, curious facts, and overall positive upbeat vibe.
It’s very rare, that you don’t want the tour to end, because you’re curious to hear guide’s narrative of yet another artwork or another room or sculpture.

This tour was amazing. Our guide had so much knowledge and made the 2 hour tour very interesting. She shared really interesting details regarding the relationship between pieces of art in a single space and the rich history of the papal family. Highly recommended! Even my teen boys loved it.

Nice collection, the Berninis are spectacular. Tour took a full 2 hours but not much time to stop and admire, and skipped some rooms or moved quickly. But plenty of time with sculptures and Caravaggios. Good tour guide.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this small-group tour of the Borghese Gallery. Our guide, Marina, was exceptionally knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the art and history of the museum. She brought the sculptures and paintings to life with fascinating stories and insights that we would have missed on our own.
The group size was perfect, allowing us to hear clearly, ask questions, and move comfortably through the gallery. The time flew by, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for the masterpieces housed there.

They were very strict with arrival time with no tolerance whatsoever for late arrivals. Which is a pity because we were 15 minutes late and all we asked was to join the (already small) group) wherever they were up to at the tour but no, we were not allowed. So we went in by ourselves (fortunately the fee we paid already included the entrance ticket) and it just so happened that we caught up with the group (only one guest as all the others were late too) in one of the Galleria’s rooms - we saw the guest wearing the operator’s sticker on their shirt. I politely asked the guide if we could join her right then and there but she pretended not to know what operator she was working for and responded rather rudely that we needed to follow our own ‘instructions’. The price for the guided tour was not cheap (around AUD325 per person) so it felt like a rip off when we could not join the guided tour because of a rigid policy. (By the way we were late because our car ride kept cancelling and it took us more than 45 mins to find one).

We would like to clarify that all booking information clearly states that participants must arrive at the meeting point in advance and that late arrivals cannot be accommodated. This policy is displayed in the product description, voucher, and pre-tour instructions.
Additionally, Borghese Gallery tickets are valid for a strictly timed 2-hour visit, as required by the museum's regulations. Even if a guest enters late, they are still required to leave at the original exit time. Delaying the tour by 15 minutes would therefore have reduced the visit time for all other participants who arrived on time.
As a courtesy, we contacted the other guests and asked whether they would be willing to wait. They declined, as they did not wish to lose part of the experience they had paid for. As this was a shared group tour, we could not require other customers to shorten their visit because of another guest's late arrival.
We also communicated with you while you were en route and advised that we could only wait a limited amount of time. Unfortunately, once the tour had started and tickets had been validated, it was no longer possible to accommodate additional participants without disrupting the experience for the rest of the group.
We understand that transportation issues can occur and sympathize with your situation. However, these circumstances were outside of our control, and we had to respect both the museum regulations and the rights of the guests who arrived on time.
For these reasons, the tour departed according to the published schedule and in accordance with our stated late-arrival policy.

I'm so glad we chose to take this tour. Our tour guide seemed to have knowledge of every piece of art in the gallery. She brought the artwork and sculptures to life by pointing out the smallest details that would otherwise go unnoticed. She took the time to answer everyone's questions in great detail. I booked this tour about 2 weeks before the tour date. I strongly suggest you book at least 2-3 months ahead. Maybe give yourself even more time. The Gallery limits the number of people per day and demand is high. Thus operators like Viator will make the sound business decision to raise prices and optimize margins. $152 for a 2 hour tour looks good on the bottom line!
I did not get the tour guides name and after tipping her she did not offer her name. The tour was on 5/31/2026 at 2:00. Please give her the credit she deserves. She brought to life the great works of art that reside in this space. Her explanations were succinct but descriptive down to the flys in one painting and the tear on a sculpture. She even used body language to depict the sculptures perceived movements. Outstanding performance!
I highly recommend this tour but book early or pay the too high price. If you don’t need a guide then you can also try to buy a ticket directly from the Gallery. I believe it was 18 Euros.

Silvia was absolutely fantastic. She spoke fluent English and was incredibly knowledgeable. She answered every question we had with confidence and provided detailed historical context that brought the experience to life. She was also very attentive, thoughtfully adjusting when certain rooms became crowded and returning to them later so we wouldn’t miss anything. We arrived 15 mins late because we couldn’t find a taxi. The Galleria Borghese staff found our guide inside the museum and we got inside (you can only visit with a guide). The Bernini sculptures, Caravaggio paintings, mosaics, frescos, opulent “lodge” decoration, are not to be missed! Grazie Mille to our guide Abdul. He was very patient and kind to help us. Villa Borghese, the park outside, is a green oasis in busy and crowded Rome.

I was very skeptical about this tour because I wasn’t sure we were getting a real guide. I didn’t buy the tickets directly from the museum ahead of time so I went with this tour. Needless to say, our guide Martina from Doooing Adventures was fantastic. We got so much more out of the art than we would have had we done it on our own. She kept it interesting and interactive. Museum has timed blocks for each group entering - our guide was informative and knew her stuff, and paced our tour perfectly for the very numerous works of art as we moved through the museum. Would recommend this tour again. Small earphones are used so you can hear clearly.
