I absolutely loved this tour; however, my brother-in-law felt very uncomfortable with the use of human remains as art. Our guide, Kira, was wonderful and very knowledgeable, sharing what she knew freely.

This Tour was booked last minute to fill in some time - WOW, what a great tour. We started with St. Clemens ancient church where they built 3 different structures starting with the 1AD, 200 AD and 400 AD - as Massimo said, it was an architectural Lasagna ! Absolutely stunning. Next we traveling by cab to the Catacombs - it was eerie and beautiful at the same time. On a hot day, it's cooler underground - so the relief from the heat was great. We explored several caverns and tunnels, all of which were used to bury individuals and families. Massimo was excellent in explaining how certain classes of wealth were buried and we explored many different areas, saw the oil lamps they used back then to traverse the tunnels, family burial areas, etc..... and some remain Fresco's. Well worth the money and trip! Great job!

This was an absolutely amazing tour! Just our family and a knowledgeable and personable guide. Private dedicated transportation to the catacombs and we had a nearly private (us + 1) tour there too. It was a highlight out or time in Rome!

First part of tour of Basilica was amazing our tour guide was amazing the catacombs was just ok paid for guaranteed max 6 people first part only 4 of us second have at catacombs was about 15 people with tour guide going really really fast and tour started prior to us arriving and could hardly hear guide

This was by far the best tour of our trip! Cristiano went above and beyond not only during our tour but also by helping us coordinate a following tour. He was knowledgeable, courteous and funny. Also, our driver Stefano is perhaps the best driver in Roma! 10/10!

This was an excellent tour to help understand the layers of Rome’s development as a city from ancient times to present day. So interesting and also nice to go underground where it is cool during a hot summer day! The pictures of the skulls in the ad is misleading since there are no bones laying around which I was glad for!

The tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. He was much better than the second tour guide for the Vatican catacombs and I would suggest the company look at going to a different catacomb so that the same guide could be used and not a Vatican one. In any event the tour was very enjoyable.

Ancient Catacombs and Underground Rome

VERY disappointing tour because the bones have been removed. The tour guide said they were removed long ago because people were touching them. The picture advertising the tour still shows skulls and this is not the case. FALSE advertising. My young adult children liked the guide but the only reason they did the tour was to see the actual bones, not empty spaces. Save your money and find another tour. We found out there are other real life catacombs with bones and all you can pay a small fee and just enter without a guide but not with this tour company. False advertising, misleading and I paid for 3 tickets for a semi private tour just to see the catacombs without the bones used in advertisement. Shameful

This tour is a MUST because, unfortunately, guests are not permitted to snap photos inside the catacomb and crypt as they are sacred spaces. The few photos you see online are nothing like the real thing. You have to see it in person. I highly, highly recommend this tour. Pamen, the tour guide had a great attitude and was personable, patient and knowledgeable. The history was fascinating and it was a fantastic experience overall. As an aside, the catacombs are a fantastic place to visit on a very hot summer day because they are chilly and offer a reprieve from the scorching heat. Don't forget that your shoulders and knees must be covered to enter some of the sights but the museum sells a piece of fabric for you to cover exposed areas for 1 Euro in case you forget to cover up.

Marco was a great guide as he slowly peeled back the layers of the lasagna that is Rome. San Clemente was fascinating and really best explains the settlement of Roma. The catacombs were definitely worth the trip although be advised their are no skeletons. Worth the trip!
