- Please be aware that the Sistine Chapel is a Holy Place and talking during your visit inside is strictly forbidden, therefore your guide will give you an explanation of the Sistine Chapel beforehand during your tour, in order to give you a comprehensive explanation before entering the chapel.
- No photos are allowed within the Sistine Chapel.
- Access to the Raphael Rooms is contingent upon crowd conditions, timing constraints, and guard-regulated routes. Including them may not always be feasible. In these cases, your tour guide will exercise discretion to adjust the itinerary, ensuring a high-quality experience.
- Backpacks are not permitted in the Museum.
- Guests with wheelchair accessibility needs will find difficulty with this small group tour. In order to ensure a barrier-free tour with alternative routes, please book the private version of this tour.
- Everyone in your group, regardless of age, needs a government issued ID to enter the Vatican Museums.
- IMPORTANT: Please advise our team if you believe that a disability qualifies you for complimentary access to the Vatican
- Places of worship have strict dress code requirements for entry. All participants are required to have shoulders and knees covered (no tank tops or short dresses) to enter.
- From January 12 through March 31, the Vatican Museums will be carrying out special conservation work on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment inside the Sistine Chapel. During this time, a scaffolding structure will cover the entire Last Judgment wall. The Sistine Chapel will remain open and fully accessible, but this specific artwork will not be visible during the restoration period. Thank you for your understanding as this masterpiece receives important care.

Wonderful tour with the later hour, a little less hot temperature wise and somewhat thinner crowds. We were a little rushed at the end, but that could have been due a 10 min late start (late tour members).

What a great way to tour the Vatican. Claire was a great guide and it was a good time to tour without the crazy crowds. Our only regret was that St. Peter’s was closed by the time the tour ended.

So glad we booked this tour for the Vatican experience! Our guide, Luca, was so friendly and knowledgeable and made this a great way to see the museum and the Sistine Chapel. Directions were super easy to follow, no lines to wait in, and I couldn’t imagine doing this without a guide - he made it relatable and great for history buffs to novices. Group size of six was perfect as well. Highly recommend this experience!

We really enjoyed our time with Annalisa. She was a wealth of knowledge and taught us so much. Our experience was much richer having her with us. This tour was pricey, but it was awesome to be able to ask the tour guide questions without having an earphone in your ear while wading around with 20 other people. Well worth it!

My family and I were met at the assigned place by our guide. AZZURRA was enthusiastic, and pleasant. We Immediately felt like she was one of us walking through history. AZZURRA is knowledgeable and she explained in ways we could understand the history of masterpieces. She also made it fun for us and we all enjoyed the evening. My family could not stop talking about what we had seen and how happy we were to have had AZZURRA as a guide.

Tour was phenomenal, with a perfect balance of Renaissance, Roman, and Modern history combined with both informative facts and some historical gossip. The time literally flew by it was so interesting, with a well thought out narrative for the entire trip. Recommend blindly.
