The experience was exeptionally great - we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who has told us many interesting facts about the region and the process of winemaking. The wines were delicious, balanced and varied - everyone will find something that fits their taste. The food that accompanied the wine was great too. To top it all off, we managed to take some spectacular photos of the winery at sunset. We strongly recommend this experience and we thank Dominique once again for the great time we had!

Gorgeous setting for wine tasting

Gorgeous authentic location on a family run vineyard with a small Farmhouse. The wine was devine! We had lots of beautiful snacks - cheese, bruschetta, fruit and vegetables. Dominique is an excellent host, the perfect balance of knowledge, conversation and time to ourselves. The views from the vineyard are stunning even on a cloudy day. The vineyard is less than 5 minutes from the train station which is 20 minutes from Termini. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and the host went above and beyond to celebrate this! We will definitely be back if we are in Rome and plan to ship some of the wine home! Of note they don’t produce the wine here just grow the grapes and some vegetables. Definitely worth a trip here!

Peaceful and pretty escape from the chaos of Rome

About a 30 minute train ride from the "casino" of Roma Termini is Frascati, with it's sweeping view of Rome in the distance. The vineyard sits atop a hill with a cute little farmhouse where our small group of 6 was served our wines with appetizers. It was not part of the tour I booked here on Viator, but there was a dinner afterwards that I didn't know about but they were so kind to include me and let me pay the fee before we went. For us Americans that don't use public transit like trains, it is extremely easy to get to Frascati from Roma Termini. Roma Termini itself is insanely busy, but the train goes directly to Frascati. It has a couple of stops on the way, so just pay attention to where it's stopping. The train station at Frascati is super small and you could navigate it in your sleep. Just look at the big screens and it will tell you all you need to know about which platform to go to and when. Just like an airport :) Anyways, I highly recommend this. All the guides on the tour were amazing and super friendly!

Beautiful Winery, Paula is a wonderful guide and we ultimately had a nice time at the Winery itself. Unfortunately, our initial booking for the afternoon had to be changed by the winery for morning- cause abit of hassle to move during our trip. Once we got to the winery we were given a delightful and informative tour. Wine was delicious. Unfortunately, we were rushed out on the back end of the tour- like- really rushed to leave. Had to chug my remaining wine glasses and snacks. Didn't even get to try cookies. We were then attached to some expanded tour in downtown Frascati we didn't sign up for. We ultimately bailed on the tour and made our way back to the train station on our own.

Ciao James! Yes, as I had explained to you in our messages the trains to our location are under maintenance this month, and so you joined the beginning portion of our morning tour (which is a longer tour which includes a tour of town and lunch which you were not booked for) since the transportation to and from the winery is included in that tour. I am sorry that you felt rushed at the end, you did spend the full 2 hours at the winery for the tour and tasting (from 10:30-12:30). The tour of town afterward was a continuation of a different tour, something you were not booked for. You were informed you were welcome to join for the additional cost if you wanted to, but you elected not to continue with the group. I am happy that you had an enjoyable time at the winery as that is the part of the tour you were booked for. We will investigate the issue of the abrupt ending of the winery tour and hope to make it a smoother transition for future guests. Grazie!

Only giving 4 stars because they had to move us to a morning tasting. Learned so much about wine in the Rome area (Frascati is the best it has), scratched my itch for learning about viticulture, and got to visit a really cool, old wine cellar. I recommend something else if you want to get really into the weeds. Went in April so no grapes on vines yet.

It felt like a truly family winery experience. Being out in the farm and having wine with appetizers along with Max stories made it the perfect evening. Max was very accommodating, his cooking skills are great, recommended a restaurant in Frascati, made reservations and even got us a taxi to get there. I would recommend to anyone visiting Rome and wanting to get away from the city life.

Amazing experience and a great little break from the city and it's fast paced life , our guide was an absolute gentleman and the wine was to put it simple bellissimo . The food was tasty and well paired with the wines offered, only 10 minutes from Roma termini station.

Perfect rustic vineyard day

Max was the best! We had such a beautiful day at the vineyard mixing & mingling with fellow travelers and having delicious homemade wines from the region. Max also shared delicious appetizers he prepared himself... the food was fantastic and the company was delightful, with beautiful views of the vineyards all around us. The setting was a bit rustic, but it was exactly what we were looking for in an excursion from the bustling city center.

The wine tour was even better than we could have dreamed of. The artistic landscape invites you to relax and enjoy local wine and snacks. Next to the snacks and with love made chicken salad, we were able to try everything from plums to grapes right from the plants, it was really great. A very special compliment goes to the wonderful lady (with her cute dog) who shared with us her passion for wine and the area. This talented woman even played us a song on her guitar and sang for us - it was truly a dream that we will never forget. For me and my partner it was the highlight of our entire vacation in Italy and we will definitely come back. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience ❤️

This is a strange review to leave… as I did not actually attend the event. When I booked I didn’t read the fine print and missed that there are not trains out to the vineyard on Sundays. The host contacted me and made every effort to help me get there. Then day of it was poring down rain and I decided to skip this tour, yet the host still followed to make sure I could get there even in the rain. Thank you for caring about the people that book your tours! Much appreciated and well done. When I return to Rome I will certainly book this tour again.

FABULOUS EXPERIENCE. We absolutely loved the hosts, vineyard, food, and the wine!! It was in a perfect hidden gem easily accessible by the train line. The couple hosting the experience were so so sweet! They made us feel very welcome and comfortable, as well as keeping the Frascati wine traditions alive. I could tell they really care about the quality of their products and experiences and Dominique, one of the very sweet owners, even walked us to the train station when we didn’t know where to go. I look forward to coming back to Rome so I can have this experience again. Highly recommend!!

Dominique met us at the train station (a quick 15 min ride from Rome Termini) with her cute dog Amy. We walked a short distance to her rustic farm house on her vineyard where she does the tastings. Max gave us a tour of the vineyard and told us all about how they grow the grapes and about the history of the area which is very interesting and something I had no idea about (volcanic soil). We were a group of four, my husband and I and our 21 year old son and his girlfriend who booked this trip last minute witch Dominque graciously accommodated. The wine is delicious and her pairings with bread, cheeses and meats (olive oil from her farm) and a fennel salad was perfect. Dominique is friendly and charismatic and makes you feel like family while you are there. Max is knowledgeable about the area and the vineyard and we learned so much about how they grow the grapes and make the wine. We decided to go to Frascati for dinner which is a quick cab ride away and Dominique gave us restaurant recommendations (Max also works at a restaurant in town). This was one of the best times I have had on our trip to Rome, Dominique is a treasure you will absolutely love her, her vineyard and farm house, her cute dog Amy and you will learn a lot from Max who is a joy to chat with. Can’t say enough about what a great time we had! We came as strangers and left as good friends…that is the best way to describe Dominiques hospitality.
