Visualizing the beauty of the Roman Forum

Our guide was Paolo and we spent a wonderful two hours walking through the ruins of the Roman Forum. Paolo brought the structures back to life with his historical stories and artists' renderings of the various buildings and temples. Paolo's knowledge of Roman history, culture, and mythology was extensive and truly enabled us to visualize the grandeur of the Forum and the evolution of the city of Rome from small city to the capital of an empire.

We are so thankful we booked this tour of the Forum instead of trying to navigate the complicated and immense area ourselves. Our guide was Paolo and he was wonderful. He did a fantastic job of helping us to imagine what the forum would have looked like in ancient times. He had a flipbook of pictures/sketches that provided good illustration for his narrative. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable of ancient Roman history, and I was impressed with how much information and context Paolo provided. I was happy to have learned a lot on the tour!! Paolo also did a great job of maneuvering us into the shade before he explained what we were looking at and provided time to use the restroom and hydrate. I highly recommend booking this tour!
