Dan was a great guide. He told us a lot about the WW2 history of the area. We covered a lot of miles and were able to see several lighthouses and different areas around Portland. Well worth our time!

Fabulous trip. The guides Scott and Molly were the best! The weather was perfect and the 15 mile bike ride was so beautiful. It was a wonderful way to see the sights of Portland and take pictures of the lighthouses. They also were very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about Portland and the state of Maine. We also had the BEST lobster roll ever!!!! I definitely would recommend this excursion.

This was a great easy to moderate ride to the 5 lighthouses. Loved the views and the guides provided a lot of information and trivia along the way. The lobster roll was a tremendous capper to the tour.

Nice bikes and great guides. However, Viator stated maximum of 8 riders. Tour actually had 14 which was the 8 signed up using Viator combined with others that signed up directly with the bike tour company.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Larry, thanks for taking the tour. Sadly, we have had problems with Viator modifying our listings with inaccurate information. We feel that a group of 14 with two guides is a good size.

Great way to see Portland

David_F, Sep 2025
Molly was our guide and she did a wonderful job of planning the route we took around Portland. Went to 3 lighthouses and rode through some beautiful neighborhoods. The lobster roll we had was amazing. Packed full of lobster and Molly had molasses cookies for a nice treat. I will say you need to be in pretty good shape to take this trip. 15 miles round trip, and there were several hills and 1 bridge we had to climb. Nothing crazy, but more than a few times I felt my legs burning. Overall it was a great way to see Portland and its beauty up close.

5 Lighthouses

Martine_K, Oct 2024
It was the end of season so bikes were a little tired so one star removed. Otherwise a fabulous 5 star tour. Art and Molly were great tour guides. Art is super knowledgeable about Portland and we learned some neat things along the way. Seeing the 3 lighthouses up close was great with the others in distance. The lobster roll was delicious and the surprise cookies were yummy too. I'm not going to spoil what they were. All in all a great tour that I highly recommend.

Response from Host, Oct 2024

Thank you. Yes, it is the last week of the season, and the bike will be replaced next season.

Fun unique way to see Portland

Glorianne_O, Oct 2024
This was an awesome bike trip. We road through beautiful streets to see many awesome lighthouses. Molly our guide did a great job of telling us the history at each location and made lunch memorable and fun. Would 100% recommend. What a fun day and or ably the best way to see so much in one morning.

This was a great way to experience Portland. Rick and Chris were amazing tour guides and great hosts. The lobster rolls were the best we have ever had. Splurge and get the XL for extra lobster meat! Yum!

Great Experience

Karina_W, Sep 2024
We had a marvelous experience. The group of 9 riders was magnificent, and our guide, Scott, made for the perfect group of ten. I loved the stops we made at the lighthouses. The lunch was as advertised and delicious. The bike riding had a great mix of road, hill, and flat. My husband and I do not ride bikes on a regular basis, so the tour was just right. Thanks to Scott and the group, the day was a success!

toddgarcia, Aug 2024
Scott was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable about the area and the bikes. Lovely biking to and from the lighthouses. 2 out of 10 difficulty. Bikes were in great shape and easy to ride. Great way to see the sites. Highly recommend. Ask for Scott!

Fun ride with a small group and a friendly guide

Ron_B, Aug 2024
Even with a little rain during parts, it was a great time. The guide was very nice and fun with good information. There is some riding on the road but it’s not bad and most riding is on the greenway which is great. The lobster rolls in the park by one of the lighthouses was a fun experience.

Response from Host, Aug 2024

Great trip

Bonnie_B, Aug 2024
Great way to see the coast. Emma and Rick were wonderful guides. Lobster roll was delicious. The pace was slow and the bikes were good quality but I'm going to feel it tomorrow! All in, about 15 miles of biking.

Tour de Lighthouses

Kathie_F, Aug 2024
The tour was perfect! We cycled by the coast to the lighthouses and saw breathtaking views. Scott our guide was awesome! He made sure we were safe in downtown areas and even asked if we wanted to take extra time for a gorgeous view look back at all the lighthouses we saw. When we stopped to eat at Portland Head Light ( delicious lobster rolls included) he shook out a buffalo check tablecloth for the table and finished off the meal with dessert!! Definitely go if you have the time you won’t be disappointed!

Response from Host, Aug 2024

Thank you

Worth doing

Cheryl_P, Jul 2024
The description is misleading. You only visit 3 lighthouses not 5. Scott our guide was great. We saw some beautiful sights. The lobster roll was delish!

Response from Host, Jul 2024

Yes, some of the lighthouses are offshore and cannot be reached without a boat

If you’re in Portland, this is a MUST

Emily_g, Jul 2024
Such a great experience! Our tour guide was sunshine in a bottle. She was so knowledgeable and kind. I really enjoyed the lobster roll and the lighthouses!
