Your guide will meet you in front of The Maine Souvenir Shop, 2 Exchange St, 15 minutes prior to your tour time. The shop is a fun place to explore before the tour, as they support over 100 local artists/makers. We will find you for check-in and make an announcement in the shop prior to departure.

Our family really enjoyed this tour. It was well paced, great to walk around on a pretty day and learn about history of Portland with points of interest. We loved the donut samples and Kris was very generous with portions. All sanitary and safety measures (gloves, hand sani) were followed (saw a few earlier reviews mention this). He shared great history and lobstering industry knowledge. It was really interesting and a great way to see Portland- along with history of the donut. We highly recommend this tour!

This was a great tour to start our day off. Renee was a great guide! Not only did we sample some great treats, but we learned about Portland's history, culture, architecture, and got some intel about great places to eat & visit. We did the 9:30 am tour, which ended with enough time to grab snacks near the very cool gift shop that the tour begins and ends at which features items designed by local artists, then headed down the street for the Mailbox run water tour. It's definitely a worthwhile thing to do, and perfect way to start the day with a little walking, some delicious doughnuts, and a side of history.

I needed donuts that were gluten free. Although two out of the three sites did not have gluten free donuts, one of them did. Our tour guide was able to arrange for me to have several gluten free donuts so I was able to enjoy the tour and the donuts! Thank you!

This tour was really unique. Chris was a great guide, extremely knowledgeable, kind and fun. The stops were not your average doughnut shops and that made for a great experience. This was fun mainly because it’s different than most food tours. Renee was knowledgeable and friendly and was able to answer any questions. Prepare to walk on cobblestone and uneven streets.

What a delightful way to explore Portland, have the best donuts, and learn a little of the city’s fascinating history, all at a relaxed pace that allows plenty of time to purchase coffee (because donuts just need coffee)! Kris is a great tour guide with a great sense of humor and talks from his own experience and perspective as a long time local resident. He chose a nice variety of donuts to taste from three bakeries I would definitely visit again!

Luckily, my husband and I came in the middle of May before peak season and had a tour all to ourselves. Great tour experience, Renee was a great guide and very personable. She had a lot of knowledge of portland, history, and places to go. The donuts are all different styles, and they're all delicious for different reasons. I really enjoyed the donuts although they add up to being quite a lot of carbs and being a heavy breakfast. But it's a great way to explore both history and food
