Barry was a wonderful guide and kept us all listening to his tales about the city and his life in Portland. He took us to beautiful views of the city and the lighthouse. He pointed out things that we were able to return to and enjoy further.
Nice, comfortable introduction to Portland. Great driver/guide, Steve, you could tell he lived here all his life and absolutely loves it. Would recommend for first timers for sure!
After agreeing on a pickup point, they never gave clear instructions on what type of vehicle to look for and , despite being at the pickup location early, the driver made no effort to come and make contact with us. After calling the tour operator, Portland Discovery Land and Sea Tours, they offered a later tour that we could not take due to time constraints. When asked for a refund, they refused multiple times and then hung up on us. Stay away from tis tour and this company -= they are classless.
Great tour to get the lay of the land! Fabulous tour guide/driver. She was absolutely full of information and lots of fun! She drives a school bus as well!
We thoroughly enjoyed our city and lighthouse tour in Portland, Maine. It was a wonderful way to see the city and learn about the history and character of the area. The lighthouse and coastal scenery were absolutely beautiful, and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tour both interesting and enjoyable.
The tour was well organized, relaxed, and gave us a great overview of Portland and the surrounding coastline. It was a perfect way to spend part of our day in Portland. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Portland and getting off a cruise ship.
It is a worthwhile local tour. A good way to get out to the lighthouse. The city of Portland is not very big so the tour is not overly long about two hours. I recommend visitors take the tour. We were a little disappointed in our tour guide didn’t give us more local history.
This was a good way to see Portland. Our guide, Steve, was a local who knew almost everything there was to know about Portland. He was funny, too!
Well our driver guide Wendy was brilliant and we learnt so many interesting and fun facts about Portland.
Easy listening to a great speaking guide. Knowledgeable. Nice trolley for comfortable seating. He ordered great weather too.
Our driver was awesome. She knows so much about the history of Portland it was great. Very friendly and a great story teller

was a very nice tour, informantive. Maybe closer or more bathroom facilities closer to drop off, a hike for those walking challenged. Otherwise tour was nice.

Short stop at the lighthouse to walk around and get pictures. Dorothy was our guide and she was loud enough to hear in the back of the trolley. Appreciated her suggestions for places to eat

Our driver/ narrator, Barry, was fantastic - knowledgeable and funny. Great sense of humor. Loved seeing different parts of the city and hearing the history. We have been to Portland numerous times, as well as going to the Portland headlight, my favorite lighthouse.
We were very happy to stop there again.
I learned many new things about the city.

The trolley is open-sided so come prepared for the wind if you are lucky enough to still have hair. Other than that, this is an amazing and very informative tour. The lighthouse visit is a highlight for sure.
