This tour was very informative and gave a nice overview of the city of Portland. It passed by several historical sites, the working waterfront, and the Old Port area. The stopover at the Portland Head Lighthouse was a nice ending to this tour. I would highly recommend it. The tour guide was excellent too and he shared so much information about the history of the area.

Dorothy was a great guide. She was kind and genuine. She has a a lot of knowledge of the area. The driver was absolutely beautiful and I loved looking at all the houses and neighborhoods . Of course, the highlight is the light house. It’s stunning! I took some amazing pics. I only had 1 day to spend in Maine and this our was perfect!

Great trolley ride around the old and new parts of Portland - then off to the Portland lighthouse with stunning views - epitomises New England !
Our guide and driver Wendy Lee was lovely - super engaging and knew her stuff !
It was her last Trolley tour and we wish her well with her next driving job as a school bus driver in November!

The city tour was great. I was surprised by the volume of beautiful houses and commercial buildings in the city.
Our guide on the city tour, Barry, was awesome.
The lighthouse cruise was equally great. Both tours put on display the beauty of Maine.
I would highly recommend both of these tours.

Excellent experience! Our driver was knowledgeable and a native of the area. He was able to give us details that we would not have been finding in another format. The ride was smooth and the stop at the lighthouse was adequate timing.

We sat at the back of the trolly and froze! The sides needed to be down from get go. Finally at the lighthouse, they put down the sides

Only had 15 minutes to see the lighthouse area. Spent most of the time driving around neighborhoods looking at houses. Lighthouse is the highlight of the tour and you only allot 15 minutes? There should be at least 45 minutes to look around. If you’re going for the lighthouse then find a different way.

We understand that the time dedicated to the lighthouse area—which is set at 15 minutes—was a major point of frustration for you. To provide some context, the entire tour is 1 hour and 45 minutes, and we work hard to squeeze as much of the city's highlights, neighborhoods, and landmarks as possible into that tight window. This balance is why we allot the specific amount of time for each photo stop versus the driving portion.
However, it is clear from your review that the balance felt wrong, and we apologize for the disappointment caused by the amount of time spent driving around neighborhoods. Our goal is for every customer to feel engaged, and we are reviewing our route commentary to ensure the driving time is more valuable and less tedious.

Steve was a great tour guide! He knew the city well and had terrible jokes! He made the tour so enjoyable! My friend and I enjoyed our lighthouse and Portland tour so much. We highly recommend anyone take this tour. You won’t be disappointed!

The tour gives you the history of Portland, and interesting facts about it's people and places, like the fact it has burned down 4 times and then rebuilt! . You feel like you know the city after the insightful tour. Our tour guide (lady) was terrific, entertaining and one of the best that we've experienced, ever! It was the perfect tour to get to know Portland. Location was easy to find. Turn left from the pier and a short walk to the building. Our tour guide was professional yet entertaining. He was a local which made it even better. So glad we booked this tour.

It's the best way to get a quick overview of Portland's history and landmarks, especially iconic Portland Head Lighthouse. Plenty of time was given out there to walk around & take pics. Our guide was so knowledgeable and full of anecdotes! The vehicle can be enclosed or left partially open, as was our October tour.

This trolley tour was definitely worth the money. Our tour guide was very personable and gave us a lot of history of Portland that we would have never knew had we explored on our own. The highlight was visiting the famous lighthead with beautiful views of Casco bay!! Great experience!!

Nice and humorous driver/tour guide who is a Portland local with many stories. The trolley is a charming vehicle to ride around - better than a tour bus. I think he is a secret Yankees fan or he’s just trolling people on the tour. I’m a Yankees fan from NYC so I didn’t mind the jokes.
The only place you will get out on foot will be the lighthouse. Otherwise, everything else is close enough and walkable.

Staff was friendly, knowledgeable & entertaining
However, when seated in the back with the flaps open, traveling at an increased speed, it was hard to hear when traveling back from the lighthouse
