Pink Sails' crew was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating . Captain Kainoa has a great sense of humor in his delivery and communication with the passengers. Very informative about whales as well. We saw several pods during the 2 hour tour. The vessel rides very smoothly as a large catamaran vs a other single hull vessels we observed at sea. Very enjoyable experience and would recommend to others.

It was a great experience. Alexio and crew made our tour fun and informative. Boat Crew were funny and super easy going. Ride was smooth. Got to see sea turtles, dolphins and whale tails, really enjoyed it!! Thank you pink sails for such a great time!!

My whole group of 8 mamas adored our crew. Alexio was so great as captain. Very hospitable, kind, honest, funny, and gave good facts. (I would’ve loved even more facts of the city, more on the whales and marine life, Hawaiian culture, etc.) Sheymus was funny and personable as well. Loved his reaction when the humpback we were following breached at the end of his jokes. It was hilarious. We were so blessed for nature to give us that gift of the whale breaching. Quite rare, only 5% of the time, according to our great guides. And I absolutely loved the boat ride! If you like rollercoasters, go to the front and pretend you are doing the classic Titanic stance! It was the best! So fun. And John was hilarious too as our first point of contact. They were a great group of guys and have been close friends for a long time. Great atmosphere. I enjoyed their playlist, and my gfs and I sang and danced, but I think it could be improved with some more hit songs, or classic Hawaiian ukulele songs, OR hits remixed with the uke! That would be bomb and make it feel special for where you are whale watching. I def recommend this excursion. Great price and great two hours on the sea. Great view of Diamond Head too!! So gorgeous and velvety green. We went very beginning March.

Fantastic! Captain Jamie, Xavier and Alex were so so helpful and friendly. We saw lots of Whales, dolphins, and Turtles!! We even started with a baby whale breeching (leaping out of the water). Recommend bringing sunscreen and a nice camera :)

Great trip. Great staff. Friendly and helpful. We were lucky and whales and dolphins right from the beginning literally to the end. 3 or four whales we followed the whole trip. Wasn't real close but We were as close as I think you could get, all the other boats were at the same distance. Lot of fun. Definitely recommend.

You don’t get as close as the pictures look

The ride was fine but you don’t get nearly as close as the pictures make it look. You will mostly be looking for spouts of water and you’ll get about 100yrds away at the closest. You’ll get a glimpse of tail briefly and then you’ll be watching the horizon for 10-15 minutes until you spot the next spout/tail. The crew was entertaining as well so while it was nice to get out on the water, I wouldn’t do it again. There were smaller boats on the water that were able to get closer.

The employees were great, the service was great, we had a great showing of whales. I gave my experience a 4 star review because we went at the tail end of some horrible weather so the water was very choppy and nearly everyone got nauseous. 7 out of 8 of us.

Mother Nature sometimes just doesn’t cooperate…. While we did not see any whales, my experience was great! The crew were fabulous and I had a good time soaking up the sun and just riding in the boat. I will definitely do it again and hopefully have better success.

Our recent excursion with Pink Sails was a fantastic day on the water, even if the stars (or the whales) didn't quite align. From the moment we stepped on board, the crew was incredibly cordial and high-energy. They did a phenomenal job keeping everyone entertained and informed throughout the entire journey, ensuring there was never a dull moment. The conditions were perfect; we had beautiful weather and some thrilling big waves that made the sailing itself a highlight. It was an exhilarating ride that really added to the adventure. Unfortunately, nature is unpredictable, and we didn't spot any whales during our outing. While that was a bit of a letdown, the company’s policy is incredibly fair. They offered us a free re-booking for life, which is honestly the best consolation prize we could ask for. It shows they truly care about the guest experience and stand by their promise to get you on the water with these majestic creatures eventually. If you’re looking for a professional, fun, and honest tour operator, I highly recommend Pink Sails. We’ll definitely be back to use our credit!

You will get fantastic views of the show, stretching from Diamond Head to bring the airport. The whales obliged, and allowed us to see them - what a memory. The crew took good care of the passengers, including the few who got sea sick.

Alexio, Seamus and Kainoa(i tried to spell it as best as I could) were great. So many puns, whale facts and other fun things on the ride. We got to see a breach which is rare and awesome. Tip if you are worried about being nauseous sit at the back of the boat on the first level. If you want the best view top level and forward but you will be bouncing around when you hit larger waves and will probably get wet.

It was a great experience. The boat ride was nice and the guys were very entertaining with their puns. My bucket list is to whale watch. Although I was able to see some blow holes and a whale tail. I was looking forward to seeing a whale jump out of the water. Maybe next time.
