If you’re visiting with children, it’s best to enter from the Southern Boulevard entrance as it’s stroller-friendly.
Start your day by taking the shuttle to Asia, then ride the monorail. After returning from the monorail, continue exploring all the stops until you reach the Dinosaur Safari and Children’s Zoo, where you can end your day.
We arrived at 10 AM and finished by 4:30 PM.
The Bronx Zoo is definitely worth visiting!

Research parking before you go, we did not and it was a struggle, easy to get in/out of the zoo, dinosaur exhibit was very nice

The bathrooms were closed and the booths for food, drinks,and ice cream were all closed. Tne bathrooms were reserved for the large groups that were coming in.

I got to the park two hours before it closed and all I wanted to do was walk around and because they had a holiday light night show they would not let me into the zoo with my admission ticket to see the animals and told me I had to purchase a new ticket to see the holiday lights, which I did not want to see. I just wanted to see the animals and I had all legitimate ticket in the park so was open for two more hours and they wouldn’t let me in.

Zoo was great, not as many animals in the enclosures as I would have thought, and most animals seemed very stressed while pacing the same path for long periods of time while we watched them
Google said closing time was 5:30 but it was actually 4:30, it just hadn’t been updated yet, no big deal just very disappointing when I was expecting another hour.

One of the best zoos I’ve ever visited! The staff is friendly, the whole space is really clean, the variety of food and beverages is also really good. The stuffed animals at the zoo store are really cute, overall had a thrilling time there and I will definitely be back. The animals look healthy and happy, the different zoo programmes are also quite interesting and I hope they keep up the good work. Totally worth the money.

This was my 11 month son 2nd time at the zoo. First time in the summer. It was surprisingly not crowded for a Saturday. Didn’t get to see much cause we entered at 1 but it was nice. The trees saved us from the sun. Loved the great air conditioning in the cafeteria. Was able to enjoy the last ride on the monorail. The guy speaking made the ride lively and fun. I will be going again in the fall.

Great zoo. We really enjoyed the size of the zoo and all the exhibits. This was a great way to get out of the hustle and bustle of Manhattan and just walk around for a morning to enjoy the scenery of the zoo.

Great variety of animals...when we got to see them. We went left, when we should have gone RIGHT after entering. This ate up about 45min of our visit because of all the walking thru foliage No Animals-then realized there is a shuttle! The gorillas were our faves & the monorail tour was fantastic!

It was a mistake I couldn’t get into the Bronx Zoo because I didn’t have a Bar code so they wouldn’t let me enter the Bronx Zoo li!!! So I traveled a wasted two hours going and two hours getting back home!!! My wasteful time and day out so I want a refund with extra $15.00 for my transportation expenses!!!!

After a much needed vacation we decided to visit the zoo. The most memorable experience was my daughter’s expression hearing the Lion roar and seeing the Giraffes.

There were no gorillas because of the weather (high was 54) and a lot of the other animals were missing too. I might as well have gone to the queens zoo. The health and comfort of the animals is important but i wish for $40 a ticket they would have explained that on the website or reduced the ticket price. A lot of the pathways were closed off and they had whole areas closed off. Also, I don’t understand why they make you show your ticket at the entrance of a lot of the exhibits once you’re in the park. It’s not the end of the world but inconvenient when you’re juggling kids and strollers. The bathrooms were also very dirty and only had hand dryers (no paper towels) which my young kids are afraid of. This isn’t the bronx zoo experience I remember as a kid

The Viator experience was perfect. To be honest I was a bit disappointed in the Bronx Zoo. Considering it is like the fourth largest in the world and I think one of the top two in the US, we left rather unimpressed. Part of it was also the time of year. The animals were hard to see. There so many more animals could comfortably fit in the zoo with all the space available. Although - good for the animals that were not there - hopefully enjoying their freedom in the wild where they belong. The price was right on this package. I much preferred the Central Park Zoo.

Was not able to use the ticket i bought through VIATOR. Was a complete scam. Could not use the tickets i got through Viator. No email sent to my email with the tickets. The app and website is ABSOLUTELY NOT user friendly. Could not use the tickets had to buy others. 0/10 👎👎👎👎👎👎

The animals were nice but i ended up paying $34 for the ticket when it turns out students only have to pay $8….. The app nor the site told me of this information and I really feel like I wasted my money.

Due to the bad weather, I was trying to exchange the tickets for the next day but the systems won't let me change the date kr do refund. So because of that I lost my money and never went in the zoo.
