You climb 3 very steep ladders/stairs to get to the carrier control rooms; then you get out by going down one ladder BACKWARDS!

Great place for someone with interest in military, American History or airplanes. It was kids week so there were a lot of extra activities for smaller children.
We made it through (sans kids week activities) the ship and submarine in about 3 hours. Due to the time of year and crappy weather (cold heavy rain) and no lines we didn't have to wait more than 5 mins for anything.
We will go back again as several family members mentioned interest when we got home. Its clear that better weather brings much much larger crowds and with it longer lines.

This trip was booked my my husband as seeing the spaceship was on his bucket list but he Theo roughly enjoyed the rest of the museum and we spent a good 3 hours there while he was exploring the rest of the museum.

I visited the Intrepid Museum yesterday with my husband. It’s an amazing experience to get to enter and learn about Concorde, Submarine Growler, see Space Shuttle Enterprise and see the hangers and the different aircraft on Intrepid.

See everything! Nothing is a waste of time, speak to the veterans, they have some remarkable stories and take plenty of pictures my 12 year old son was mesmerized by the aircraft carrier and submarine. Highly recommend and well worth the money

Me and my saddo husband visited this. We turned up really early and were told we were ok to go in. All the staff were very friendly and polite. We spent about three and half hours just wandering around looking at all the exhibits which we loved. We ended up sat under Concorde looking out over the river. The views of New York are amazing.

This is our third aircraft carrier and by far the least enjoyable or immersive. A lot of pictures and reading, but very few interactive exhibits. They had some type of special speech happening, so the entire upper deck and bridge was closed, which was highly disappointing because our tickets were not discounted, but we were denied access to one of the most enjoyable parts of the ship that we wanted to see. I wish I had ever used priority booking this expensive excursion. This was not worth the money.

The museums were fantastic. The Viator ticket? Not so much. It caught me in a never ending loop of Open the viator app, get a code sent to email, enter the code, open the viator app. It took the supervisor at the ticket booth to override and actually print me tickets. Which she did, and was nice about it.
