Disappointed in the last minute cancellation.

The tour was cancelled at the last minute, but we didn't find that out until we had waited around at what we thought was the meeting point for a while. Tried to call the number on the reservation and it was a disconnected number. We finally found an e-mail notifying us of the cancellation, then the tour operator was blaming us for their cost to send someone to meet us to tell us the tour was cancelled. How about just not cancelling the tour next time...

Dear Michael. We are sorry that has hapenned. As you can verify from all the other reviews that is not our standard. The tour had been POSTPONED PENDING YOUR AGREEMENT 2 hours before it was due to begin. Maybe you also didnt know but there was an orange weather alert and authorities recommended the suspension of outdoor activities SUCH AS WALKING TOURS. I imagine that there were a lot of cancellations throughout the country over those days. We messaged you through the platform as we assumed that you would be monitoring the emails as most people do especially when they have an appointment booked online... In our message we suggested alternative dates/times. We didnt just "cancel". Since we didnt hear back from you, we had someone go to the meeting point (with a sign) to meet you and go ahead with the tour so that you would not be left stranded. Our number is a whatsapp number - as it is normal nowadays especially for communications between international numbers -since we do not make or receive international calls on our mobile phones. We tried to contact you on the platform and whatsapp, no reply. It was a very casual tour but nice pace good food good locations, If you want to see a little bit more of behind the scenes in Lisbon this is the way to do it
