Miguel is one of the best tour guides that we have ever had. Fluent English and very knowledgeable plus always attentive to our needs. He also knew the local restaurants and called ahead for reservations after asking what we wanted to eat

A wonderful all-day trip outside Lisbon. Fatima was a most moving site as was the beautiful Batalha Monastery. The carved stonework here can only be equalled by the Monastery of St. Jeronimos in Lisbon. Batalha is also being restored to its brilliant past. The sea and cliffs at Nazare were awe inspiring and Joao took us to where the giant waves occur and explained how they are formed. Obidos was like walking into a medieval village because that's what it is. Charming! Can't say enough good thing about Joao and this Viator tour. Highly recommended.

Miguel Alves…Remember this name coz this young lad is outta this world!! His knowledge of all the destinations is professorial level and he’s such an enthusiastic guide with so much passion about his work n country. Made the entire tour so interesting n there never was a dull moment with him. The day flew by with him around n to say that the trip was totally enjoyed is an understatement. Well done Miguel! This was our best family-day in Portugal...all thanks to our guide, Susana. Our day started with 8am pick-up at our hote. Susana was both guide and driver of a newer Mercedes van. Her historic knowledge, of Portugal and each site, was excellent. Only one disappointment-totally outside of Susana's control...there were no waves at Nazare. The mideaval town of Obidos was the an unexpected "treat" and our last stop of the day's tour.

We were so very happy with our private tour with Van Go Tourism. We were picked up promptly at 8:00am in front of our AirB&B by a wonderful, friendly tour guide Ms. Susana Gracio. The private Mercedes van was spotless and so comfortable. Susana, was so welcoming and so gracious when she picked us up. Susana, is unbelievably knowledgeable about the places we visited. She is very educated about the history of Portugal. She was a delight as well. We visited Fatima, Batalha, Navarre and Obidos. Susana, very eloquently, and with much enthusiasm, explained the story of Sanctuary of Fatima, Basilica of the Holy Trinity and Batalha Monastery in great detail. It was a a first class history lesson!! We visited the beaches of Navarre, and the small town of Obidos. The day with Susana was beyond perfection. We all felt so blessed to spend this tour with Susana. THE BEST TOUR GUIDE!!!!

Susanna was our guide. She was wonderful. Visiting Fatima was a mini pilgrimage for me and she was very flexible with accommodating me with some of the things I wanted to see. The other destinations were so wonderful too. Susanna is very knowledgeable about Portuguese history and she is a delight to be with. Highly recommended.

Our tour with Joao was amazing! He customized our tour according to our interests, making sure we got to everything but also allocated more time to places we were more interested in. His lunch recommendation was also excellent, the best seafood I have had in my life. It was a long day of driving, so luckily the van was comfortable enough that we had a small nap between destinations.
As visitors to Portugal, we were very fortunate to have a guide Joao that was so knowledgeable about both Portuguese history and more current events. He was very professional and polite and took very good care of us. We arrived home (hotel pickup and dropoff included) tired but very happy from seeing 4 very interesting and different destinations.
We look forward to visiting Portugal again soon and booking through Van Go tourism again!

We had an amazing day with Susana on this tour! We loved each stop and the time spent at each was perfect! Susana was friendly, accommodating, and a wealth of knowledge. We had an excellent lunch at a local seafood establishment in Nazare at her recommendation. Fresh seafood selected by you and prepared specially for you. Despite the rain, the day couldn’t have been more perfect!

Susana nos recogió puntualmente en nuestro hotel y nos hizo pasar un día inolvidable.
Es una guía excelente y además habla varios idiomas.
Se adaptó a nuestros intereses con flexibilidad, simpatía y gran conocimiento de la historia de las maravillosas ciudades que visitamos. Además, fue evidente su experiencia al llegar a cada lugar, pues varias personas la conocían y saludaban con afecto.
