Description of tour was inaccurate!! Boat trip to/from island was 50-60 minutes so over half the four hours as spent on a boat in rough water. Many passengers were sick some very seasick. Glass bottom boat tour was NOT thru caves but more past with drift in and out. Time left on island was less than a half hour which was consumed by a massive uphill hike from fort. Fort entry was charged (small 1E per person) but really!!!

Hello, good afternoon! Thank you very much for your message. It's very important for us to understand our customers' concerns. Indeed, the trip that day took about 45 minutes; this sometimes happens due to sea conditions. Sometimes, after lunch, if the sea is rougher, some customers may experience seasickness (but this happens on all boats). Each person should be aware of whether or not they normally get dizzy while driving, for example, and take some precautions to avoid this. The cave tour (and we certainly went into several) lasts about 30 minutes, so free time on the island is at least 1.5 hours. We know this seems short, considering the beauty of Berlenga Island. The TOTAL tour time is advertised on TripAdvisor: "Total duration: 4 hours." Yes, admission to the fortress costs 1 euro per person, but this has nothing to do with us. The fortress is managed by a private association. We were informed that the money paid goes towards the maintenance of the fortress itself. So for a good cause. Thank you.
