Overview

SCAM ALERT!!!! Do not book with this business!! They charged us $120 for a tour that could be booked on their site for $20. When we arrived they told us they were sending us with another tour operator even though our tour was meant to be a personalized experience that allowed for us to swim off the boat and did not require us to go on to the island for the snorkeling. When we requested a refund, they refused because we agreed that we didn’t care about the sup activity. This did not mean we wanted to be ripped off. They said that the wet suit equipment that our hotel would have provided for free justified the extra cost though the entire tour was the same for everyone.

Hello Leslie, thank you for your opinion. Every boat trip all staff tries to do all the best for every client, we understand your complaints, but we don't review in it. For the first time, we are gonna publish the entire conversation with a client, but things must be clear as water: Wen you booked you experience we send you a message saying: Hello Leslie, Thank you for chosing Odisseia Viva. Probably the SUP activit tomorow in is not be abble to be done, because of the wind. For snorkeling is ok, no problam. Do you still want to book the date? Thank you very much You respond: Hi - thanks for letting me know. Snorkeling is mainly what we are interested in. Will you have smaller equipment for my 10 year old? Also do we need wet suits to get in the water? Are they provided? We respond: Hi, yes to all the questions. What time do you want to departure, 9:30 am or 2:30 pm? At the day of the experience, we arrange everyting for you and your sonn to go to berlengas island, (we pay another company so you can go to berlengas, because we didn't go because of the wind) and After you have done the experience, you ask for a refond. We send you a messege saying: Hello Leslie, we don't understand the reason that you decided to ask for a refund, we arranje everything for you, and tell you about the see conditions, you agree to go on another catamaran so you could do the activity, so, sorry, but we don't agree with your refund. Can you please cancel your request? I`m sure that you know that we have done everything to provide a good experience for you and your son. thank you Your response was: I requested a refund because you charged me 5x what the price is on your website. This is unfair. You did not give a personalized experience where we would be able to swim and snorkel from the boat as you indicated in your tour description. You did not treat me with honesty and respect. Please refund my money or I will put this review on your website and anywhere else. And we respond: Hello Leslie, you by the Berlengas Catamaran Tour With SUP and Snorkeling, not only the boat trip, so the price is not the same. its not comparable both products. one day before the activity i ask you (message in top of the conversation), if you still want to do the activity with us, because the sup activity probably not gonna be possible to do, because of the of the wind, you respond: "Hi - thanks for letting me know. Are they provided?" we respond to you and, arrange everything for you and your son, you use it because you returned the material wet and full of sand, so I don't see the reason for your complaint. Sorry not be able to attend your refund request. best regards Just to be clear, your trip includes: - Boat trip - Insurance (42,98€ person/day because of snorkeling and sup activity) - Touristic tax (berlengas pass) - And the material needed to do the activities Soo, in fact you booked a Sup, and snorkeling activity, we informe you that Sup was not possible that day (before actepting you booking request), you said thats ok, never ask for a discont, and afther the boat trip and the others activity, ask for a refound…. Sorry, but it looks like a scam, but not our scam.
