Loved the informative and visually breath-taking tour of the Alfama district provided by our driver, Joao. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the emotional fado music performance, and the food exceeded expectations, and was delicious. Joao was fantastic - what a wonderful person!

Our guide was nice but it was a very boring tour! Did not tell you that there were multiple steps!!!! Not a lighted tour either just not fun or a good time. Restaurant did not get one of our parties meal and never brought it. Would not really recommend it.

Our first night in Lisbon and we wanted to get right into the experience. This tour is a great way to do that! Our guide was great and we really got to see a lot in the few hours we were with him. I wish I could recall his name because he deserves to be recognized. Viator is a great tour group and every tour we’ve done with them has been fantastic. We have taken 5 tours with them and have 3 more booked for this summer. Don’t miss out on a knowledge, reputable and professional tour.

This was a great way to experience Fado and get introduced to the center of Lisbon. Our guide (Ougo - spelling might be wrong) was excellent and informative. He described the highlights of the old city and we made 2 stops to see the views and get some photos. The Fado show was good, the singers and musicians very good and our table was placed perfectly for us. The food was good but not outstanding, but the service was great.

We had a wonderful experience. Hugo picked us up promptly, gave us a lovely tour of Lisbon and gave us suggestions on where to see the NYE fireworks. The dinner and Fado show were a nice window onto local culture. Even though traffic back to our hotel was awful because of the holiday, Hugo’s local knowledge got us back as quickly as possible, and with entertaining stories en route. We would highly recommend.

The night started with our guide, Joao, giving us a wonderfully interesting cultural tour of Alfama, which was really enjoyable. He answered all our questions and gave us a great summation of the country's history. Dinner and our Fado show, which featured 3 different singers throughout the night was simply spectacular. The food was superb, and the performances were both moving and entertaining. I would highly recommend this tour, along with our tour guide, Joao, who made our evening extra special with his commentary and thoughtful insights.

The guide Joao was punctual, very attentive and had excellent knowledge of Lisbon and history of fado. Our group all spoke Portuguese which made it very easy to communicate. The dinner and fado was sxcellent and the service outstanding. It was a very memorable evening. I had a 90 year old uncle with limited mobility and the guide was very patient and accomodating.

I love Viator tours. They take you to many fantastic locations. and truly let you experience the city you are visiting - its history, customs, and traditions, such as Fad. The performers were wonderful. Our tour guide Patrick explained how Fado is a part of Portugal’s history. He also took us on tours of cathedrals, streets, monuments, and we stopped at locations where we took beautiful pictures. Patrick was a great tour guide!!

This was a very enjoyable evening. Our driver Hugo took us around Lisbon, mostly in the Alfama district, taken to a beautiful overlook to see panoramic view of Lisbon. The Fado show and dinner were excellent! The restaurant was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this tour.

I read the reviews about the slow service but when we arrived at 8:30 our dinner was served almost at 11.
It will be nice if the singer will tell us what the songs are about.
The night tour was just a drive through town. No stops. But at 12:30 we already did not care about anything.

Touring historic parts of the city were very interesting. And Joao our tour guide gave us very special attention throughout the evening. But the Fado dinner show was beyond belief and any expectation. The restaurant owner, Antonio, welcomed us to his establishment with loving care. We ate a superb meal and then were treated to some of the best Fado music I've ever heard. It was an amazing experience. If you don't partake in an evening of Fado, then you haven't seen Lisbon. Between Joao and Antonio, my family and I enjoyed a great evening of delicious food, friendly conversation, and fascinating Fado. It was amazing beyond belief. Words fail me to describe my complete satisfaction. What an evening! Wonderful! Amazing!

Tour was not necessary and made us the last group to sit so we could barely see the performance. We were also served the last. The place was very interesting. The host was charming, the Fado was beautiful, the food was ok.

Fado Show was nice, the dining experience/food was TERRIBLE. The food wasn’t good. Additionally there were only two servers. It appeared the main focus of the two servers was clearing off tables.
Aside from it taking them over 40 minutes to bring us our entree and that was after complaining. Who knows when they would have brought us our food hadI I not complained. I would note, everyone else in the room had finished their dinner and dessert.
As for the night tour, it wasn’t much. Before the Fado Show/dinner, the driver took us to a lookout point and the front of a church. Not much of a night tour tour if you ask me!

We apologise for your bad experience, or if you didn't like the food you chose at the Fado Restaurant.
We could simply make a copy paste from the response we did to your daughter Jessica Zylak on yesterday's review, but we won't do it.
At the restaurant you were impeccably well treated, served on time, and again, when you got there, the restaurant was already full, so it's normal that all the other costumers were finishing to eat earlier than you.
In Portugal, we don't have a waiter for each table, and everybody is treated the same way, with respect.
As far as I remember, they even gave you a different desert that wasn't in your menu.
We don't know if you read the description of our product, or even other clients' reviews before you bought it, but we think you didn't, because all of the things you complained about, were written there.
As for the tour and the effort of the 3 pick-ups that our Guide Cristina did, starting at 7:15pm, so you could have the usual time for the panoramic tour, which even was taking you pictures at the sightseeing point... We really don't understand what you're complaining about, because she followed the itinerary that is written in our product.
Or were you thinking to visit all the city in less than 1 hour?
That's ridiculous.
We were already expecting this kind of review from you since we denied the refund.
Again we say that you were very disrespectful at the restaurant, complaining about everything since the begining without a reason, and that you were trying to take advantage from us.
That's very disrespectful from you.
Do you want free vacations?

Everyday we give our best to our costumers, even to you, Cristina worked 5 hours but you only payed 4, and even wanted for free....
It's disgusting your attitude to us, opportuners that think that can do everything without a single consequence.
We also denied the 3rd refund and we are already expecting the 3rd bad review from your other friends.
We've been working a lot to have a good product to offer to our costumers, it won't be you that will damage that.
It's getting to obvious what you're trying to do, and we will make a warning to all other companies to cancel your future bookings to avoid the same problems we're having with you.

The driver/guide, Cristina was most helpful and professional and helped workout our pickup location. We are 3 couples, a total of 6 Adults.
The actual restaurant left much to be desired. The food was of poor quality and it really felt as if our table was completely ignored. Everyone else had their food and their plates were being cleared before we even had our food.
The singers were wonderful, but the food and the service were not. We paid $268 US Dollars per couple, or over $800 US Dollars for this tour and it was at most worth $80 per couple or $240 US Dollars.
To say we were incredibly disappointed is an understatement. This was my first tour booked through Viator and if this is representative of the quality and vetting they do of the providers and their services it is my last.

We can't please everyone.
When you got to the Fado Restaurant, it was full of people that arrived earlier than you, so in a logical way, they started and finished their meals before you.
As we always explain to our clients, Portuguese Gastronomy takes time to cook, so you can enjoy the best flavours.
About the money you have payed, it was for a very full and diversed 4 hours activity, where you had a excelent service of pick up, 1h of panoramic tour, and then, you had a great dinner with appetizers 2 kinds of patê crab and tuna, olives, bread, butters, water, wine or sodas, soup, 3 main courses, 1 chosen by you, desert and coffee or tea.
Besides all of that, you were at a cultural live concert of Fado.
In the end, your Guide Cristina, that was all the time there, waiting for you, took you to your accomodations after 4 hours.
What we don't understand is why you asked for a full refund after having the total activity.
And then this non-sense 1 star review after we have denied the refound.
There were also complains at the restaurant by other costumers from other tables that were ashamed by having someone from their country with such unnecessary criticism and comments and bad attitude.
In our opinion, you are not a client for us, in the future we will never accept anything from you, and we could advise also Viator to ban you, because this is an opportunist way of having free tours, activities or experiences, taking advantage of other people's work.
This was very disrespectful and malicious from you.
Every year, we get a client or two just like you...
We advise you to have a different behaviour in the future, for your own good.
