Itinerary
Set-off for a magical evening from central Lisbon on your private sunset tour with Fado show and dinner. Start with a stroll through Restauradores Square (Praça dos Restauradores) and learn how this square honors Portugal’s freedom from Spain in 1640.
Then, walk along Gates Sant Antão street where the old Sant Antão gates once protected the city. Sneak a peek at Casa Alentejo, a former Moorish palace converted to restaurant that captures the essence of Portugal’s famous Alentejo region.
Next, discover the culturally diverse district of Mouraira. At a nearby bar, wet your whistle with a taste of Lisbon’s ginjinha sour cherry liqueur as you tune in to background Fado. After, visit one of the city's best viewpoints Miradouro Chao do Loureiro. Focus your eyes over the city and swivel your head from the 25th of April Bridge (Ponte 25 de Abril) across the Tagus River to the commanding São Jorge castle (Castelo de São Jorge).
Then it’s onward to the oldest Lisbon quarter, Alfama. Renowned as the birthplace of the Portuguese musical genre Fado, wind along Alfama’s narrow cobblestone streets and soak up the Moorish history. As night sets in, arrive at a charming restaurant where the musical and delicious traditional food awaits.
Savor a delicious 3-course dinner and experience melancholic Portuguese Fado which is inscribed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage lists. Since the mid-1800s Fado has delivered soulful songs that are somber yet exciting. Cherish this powerful music as you enjoy your meal with wine or water, and coffee or tea.
Leave the restaurant as your tour ends. Then, continue to explore on your own or head back to your hotel via cab, on foot, or by metro. Ask your guide and they will give you directions.

Daniel was an outstanding tour guide. He provided us with a wonderful Fado tour of the city. We had a pleasant walk and also received information about the history of the city. Our Fado dinner and show were amazing! We loved it! It was a magical memory.

Our your guide, Dani, was amazing! She seemed to know every local and a story for every corner in the oldest neighborhood of Lisbon (Alfama). I would highly recommend her and Viator to my friends and family.

We were a family of 8 traveling together and received our guided tour by Joanna. She was excellent and extremely knowledgeable with regards to the tour, the area, the history of Lisbon and Fado!!!! She was very professional and so helpful to us all, we really enjoyed her company and her humor!!!

I can't say enough good things about this tour. My wife and I are in our 60's and chose a private tour since we were concerned about inconveniencing a larger group while navigating the many hills and cobblestone streets of Lisbon. Our guide, Tiago, was great! He adjusted the itinerary to meet our physical needs and even arranged for an alternative meal at the restaurant when he learned that we weren't big seafood fans. Tiago has a PhD in Portuguese history and, as you might expect, there is nothing he doesnt know about the local history and culture. The restaurant he took us to was very nice and the music was excellent. After dinner Tiago made sure we found a taxi to get back to our hotel. My only regret is that I can't give our experience more than five stars in this review.

This was an intellectually stimulating tour - you can learn a lot about the history of Fado. We really liked our guide, Pedro. He was very knowledgeable.

Dani did an amazing job taking us around Lisbon and giving us not only a sense of the city but also its history and the people who live there. She is obviously passionate about her city and her enthusiasm was infectious. We had an amazing walking tour and would absolutely recommend to anyone else.

Our tour was absolutely fabulous! Our guide Joanna was Perfect! She was knowledgable. She cared about our interests and wants! Her English was great! She took us the fabulous spots for tasting of Ginga, and photos. She was the best!! Now about the restaurant that too was top notch. Soup, tapas, wine, wine, wine, and dessert! And the Fado music was Devine! Great choice for a tour!

This was a great tour that i highly recommend any traveler to Lisbon to take. a Fado show with a historical tour of the parts of Lisbon where Fado began is an amazing cultural experience. Dinner is included as well as a nice bottle of wine and some truly beautiful singing by very talented Portuguese women. We took our tour and show on our last night in Lisbon and it was a great conclusion to what was an amazing vacation.

The Fado show was nice, the walking was not interested, the tour guide was nice!

Our group tour guide was incredible, very knowledgeable and added tremendous insight into Lisbon and the history of Fado. The show and dinner confirmed all that she had said.

Fabulous tour. Thanks to our very knowledgable and charming guide Tiago. Very moving fado music and lovely meal.
Iain H, Aug 2015
Our guide Pedro was excellent, the food at the Fado venue was quite good. The Fado show was entertaining if not a little too commercialized. Would have preferred to see Fado in a more 'local' establishment instead of dinner theater.
