100% worth it! These 2 towns are gems not to be missed! Our driver Ravi was so good, polite, knowledgeable and friendly. He listened to our requests and delivered them. We highly recommend this trip and if you can- ask for Ravi as your driver. He will ensure that you have a wonderful experience.

Julio was so wonderful ! The scenery was amazing and we did and saw so much more than we would on our own or with a group tour. Private was the way to go! We had such an amazing experience with Danilo! He was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience and shared so much interesting history and information along the way, including so many details we never would have known or noticed on our own.

Driver on time. Should double confirm operating timings for designated spots to visit. Reason is once you miss the experience, there is little chance to revisit if you travel far from home.

My daughter (college-aged) and I (mid 40s) booked this tour to see Sintra and its surrounds. Ravi was our tour guide and was the perfect host. It would have been stressful to buy our tickets and navigate on our own, but Ravi made sure we had the right tickets at the correct time and made sure we got to where we needed to be. He was great about explaining history and took great pictures for us. He even stopped at the end for us to try region-specific custard pastries. It was a wonderful day!

This was the best way to tour to the Palace. We stop at several scenic spots along the way culminating at the Sintra Palace. Our driver Francisco,was a knowledgeable ,courteous ,young man who speaks perfect English,really knew the right places to stop along the way. He made everything easy and fun. We had an amazing 8 hour tour with Leo to Cascais and Sintra. Leo gave us so many fun facts, kept us on schedule all day and made sure we saw and did everything on our list. He knew all the tricks to get us thru the lines quickly and made the most of our time. He was full of “good vibes” and made us feel very comfortable and relaxed, great combination of knowledge and friendliness! Totally recommend him and the tour!

If you can manage it, the long walk up the mountain through the gardens is beautiful. The views once at the top are worth the climb. Sintra is a very pretty town and I would have liked more time there. Our guide Roma was lovely and as a local of Sintra was able to select the perfect restaurant for lunch. The food was authentic Portuguese and pricing was very reasonable. I would have liked a little more history, anecdotes and information about the sites. Roma was helpful and we felt very comfortable and safe.

We had an amazing time on our tour with Jorge! I had mentioned to the tour company that I would be travelling with my 80 year-old grandmother who has a walker, and they made us feel 100% welcomed and that we had nothing to worry about at all. It worked out that my family was the only group on the tour, so we were able to go at our own pace. Jorge was extremely patient and helpful with my grandmother and provided great tips/information on where to take the best pictures and the history of Portugal and all the sites were were visiting. He advised on whether the walk would be too much for my grandmother, and he also took us to the best restaurant in Sintra! It was a great experience, and we would highly recommend booking this tour.

Our Sintra tour was the very best way to see all the monuments and learn about the history of Sintra. Our guide Leo is a local who made this the most memorable tour! Leo went above and beyond to take care of us, and make sure we got to see everything we wanted to. He gave us great tips for the monuments we saw with him as well as tips for the remainder of our stay in Sintra. Leo took us to a fantastic lunch stop. Leo made our day so easy and enjoyable! I highly recommend taking this tour to see all that Sintra has to offer. This tour takes all the hassle out of trying to manage the monuments and navigation on your own!

What a wonderful tour! Our guide Jorge was the best! He was punctual and organized. He was very knowledgeable about the sites and routes around Sintra. We didn’t expect rain in the morning but he was prepared to help by offering a poncho and umbrella. He never rushed us at the sites. We had a great day and I highly recommend!

This is the BEST way to see the highlights of the palaces and highlights of Sintra! Patricia was seriously the absolute BEST guide...fun, kind, informative, knowledgeable, adaptable, and truly gave us a highly personalized and full experience of Sintra. If you want to see the highlights of this fantastic town, then this is the way to go. We were able to see lookouts off the beaten path that only locals would know about and also didn't have to waste time worrying about navigating or parking the car. Would definitely do this again and highly recommend to anyone considering this excellent tour!

Patricia was an amazing guide. She was on-time, friendly, and knowledgeable. She got us to each point we wanted and needed to see.
I do suggest, for private tours, maybe reviewing itinerary in advance, all aspects. She was great in accommodating, but I think for future tours being proactive would be helpful.
One more thing to add - Patricia was super communicative from the point of our reservation until the end. She answered all of my emails promptly, which was much appreciated.
I highly recommend this tour and hope anyone who books in the future has Patricia as their guide!

We had a wonderful private tour with Paula, a Sintra local. She is quite the character, and we enjoyed her stories and her company. We made the usual stops at Pena Palace, the Moorish Castle and Quinta Regaleira but she also took us to a great local spot for lunch and timed the trip perfectly so we could catch the sunset at Cabo da Roca. Claudia was our guide and she was so knowledgeable and delightful! We truly enjoyed a beautiful day in Sintra! First she took us to her favorite place and got some coffee and Sintra's special pastry then took us not only to the famous palaces but also to several sites of importance. We truly enjoyed her company as we learned about Sintra's history and sites.

False advertising! We booked this tour at the last minute because our previously scheduled tour guide did not show up. When we arrived in Sintra, we met the guide (who arranged the tour) while we waited for a driver. At this point things began to get skecthy. Because our driver didn't show up (accident or traffic, I'm still not sure) he instructed us to follow some other "random man" who took us a couple blocks away and put us in a tuktuk. When we inquired with the tuktuk driver about the schedule of stops, he informed us we would stop at multiple places but would only have time to get out, take picture for a few minutes and move on to the next stop as he was doing a favor for the "random man" because the other driver did not show up. We then protested as that was not how the tour was advertised and called the contact person who then had a lengthy conversation in portugese with the driver. The driver then agreed to take us to various places and stop at only two places for 45 minutes each (the Moorish Castle and Quinta da Regaleira.) In total we made maybe five or six stops (three places at the bottom of hills to take pictures of castles) and the Moorish Castle (45 minutes), Quinta da Regaleira (45 minutes) and a beach (20 minutes). In total the tour lasted about 4 hours and 15 minutes. THAT EXPERIENCE WAS NOT THE ADVERTISED TOUR. Let me be clear the driver was nice and I do not believe that our bad experience was his fault but it was the fault of the group that arranged the tour. I've taken multiple viator tours over the years and have had some great experiences but I can not say enough that our experience on this tour was NOT what was advertised.

Paula was an excellent guide. She shared her childhood stories about the places we visited. She took us to areas of Sintra off the beaten track and away from the crowds. We had tickets for two of the palaces, saw those as well as much more. Highly recommend the tour and Paula made it special.

My goal in booking a private tour of Sintra was to see as much as possible while avoiding crowds (a challenge in this highly visited area). Paula was up to the task. She took us to incredible viewing points for great castle views without the lines and to visit the National Park for views of Cascais. We rode in a Fiat convertible, which seemed much nicer than many of the Tuktuks we saw on the road. Thank you, Paula! Would recommend. Would book again.
