Super value and experience to see the three must sees outside of Lisbon, according to a local! And our guide Xavier is an excellent guide and driver- articulate, resourceful and thoughtful. I enjoyed the day out very much.

Miguel, our travel guide, was great. He explained in detail of everything we need to know. He even helped us to get trusted local taxi which driver charged recent price to our hotel. We were charged 34 Euros from the Lisbon cruise port to the city center for the Sintra tour meeting place. It was usually about 10 to 15 Euros.

Well, the most memorable experience of our tour was that it didn’t happen. When we arrived at our designated meeting point, the guide, Manuel, told us that the tour was full even though we had confirmation of it. I emailed Viator right away, but got no response. Very surprised that this experience happened with Viator.

Our guide/driver was great. He was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and just overall pleasant. He spoke of the overall history of portugal but was also very people-oriented. He made small talk seem like you knew him for years. He also didn't make the tour info feel like a drawn-out history lesson.

I think the name and description of this "tour" are misleading. Makes it sound like you will receive a tour of the sites, but what you pay for is a well narrated car ride to Sintra.
Our driver was a terrific source of knowledge about everything we saw on the drive there, but I was shocked when he didn't enter the Regaleira palace with us. When the tour description says you're dropped off, you are literally dropped off. We paid for the park's own guided tour, but our driver was cool, so it would've been nice if he led us around. Same at Pena Palace, where we were again just let loose and made our own way around. When our driver didn't even walk with us to the FREE of charge Cabo da Roca, that's when I knew he was simply our chauffeur.
And, hey -- again, he was super charming and kind, and the info he provided was great, no fault to him. I just want potential customers to know what they'll get when they buy this. There's a train from Lisbon to Sintra and a ton of ways to get to the attractions there, probably for way cheaper than this package.
