Lisbon is a beautiful city and beautiful to see at Christmastime!! Our guide was NUNO GONCALVES a life long resident of Lisbon from Selection Tours through Viator. If you want to learn the history and understand the beautiful architecture of Lisbon this is the perfect tour to take. We started at Belém Tower, then Monument to the Discoveries (he explained to us every person on this monument), the Jeronimos Monastery and 10 more sites. We stopped at 2 local places one for a Pasteis de Nata treat and later we had a wonderful lunch at another family owned restaurant Trigo Latino. He parked his van and we walked the beautiful cobblestone type narrow and hilly streets as he explained the history of these neighborhoods. An 8 hour tour is not enough but having a local resident guide is truly the best way to see Lisbon. You will want to see more !!

Wonderful day with Philip, despite starting out with rainy conditions, he quickly adjusted the tour to make sure we saw the remarkable sights of Lisbon in a day. The weather cleared and we were treated to a guide who shared history and knowledge with us in a way that was enjoyable for those 16-60. He was the best part of our trip by far, and the guide to really orient us to the area so we could enjoy it more.
