The Goldbelt Tram is located in downtown Juneau on the waterfront at Cruiseship Terminal. If you arrive to the Franklin Dock or the Steamship Dock, you are a 5-minute walk away. If you arrive by cruise ship to the AJ Dock a shuttle will transport you into town and drop you off in front of Tram.

Guide was extremely knowledgeable about Juneau and its people. The only negative was the weather as we did not get a good view from the tram due to the rain.

While I appreciate the cultural part of the experience. This was lack luster at best and not worth $150 (after taxes/fees) we literally stopped at 4 totem poles and were given a breif story. Our guide was nice but clearly nervous as his delivery was choppy. It was maybe 45 min at best. There is nothing about a seamless blend of outdoors and beer appreciation other than you are given a token at the beginning to take to the bar. Also the exhilarating trails are there, but they don't take you on them. You go on your own. As a solo traveler I was looking to join a hike with others since in bear country (we saw 2 black bears on the trail, but that was on my own hike). That did not happen. I made my own way and met up with new people on the trail. I could have gone with out the tour. Just buy the tram ticket and walk around on your own its only $45-$60. Depending on your ability you can stay close to the gift shop where there are more people or continue up the mountain for a more adventurous experience. My guide literally said, "normally I'll take people up to the cross, but I have a new tattoo and I shouldn't sweat 🫤 dissapointing overall.

The tram ride is quick but fun. The hike was beautiful and only had a couple of spots where balance mattered. Shelly was a good hike guide. Bit too fast but not slow either. It was nice to sit and have a local beer at the end.

Not worth the additional cost. Save your money and just buy the tram ticket. Our guide was nice but really struggled with his story telling and knowledge.

Informative walk/hike with an excellent view. Greg was full of knowledge and had a great sense of humor. The beer after the tour was exactly what we need to cap off the excursion.

STEPHANIE was amazing. She was knowledgeable and kind. You can tell she loves her job. Would highly recommend this excursion. Very personalized tour which gave us front of the Tram access.

Stephanie and Michaeel were great! Stephanie really knew her plants and trees while Michael shared his knowledge of the area, history and the totem poles. He really taught me a bunch of great information. The other great part was skipping the 1 hour wait inline as a VIP! Again, thank you Stephanie and Michael!!

We ended up paying for a 3 pm tram ride. The three people we dealt with had no clue regarding the fact we had a tour package. We were given a round trip ticket on the tram. It wasn’t until I received a call from a tour representative asking what happened to us that we realized we had missed the tour experience. We followed the instructions and reported to the address indicated and there was no tour rep outside the tram building, although in all fairness it was raining hard. As a goodwill measure I think Viator should consider issuing a refund
