This was an awesome experience. We were picked up at the assigned location. Our driver gave us tons of good info about navigating around Waikiki. Once we got near Diamond Head, he told us exactly what to expect there. I would highly recommend doing this early in the morning due to the heat. We ranged in age from 10 to 71 and everyone found this tour fun. Bring lots of water! We got great photos from the top of Diamond Head. On the way back, our driver offered to drop us off at the zoo or the aquarium if we wanted. He was very accommodating. This was a very memorable tour.

Very good tour for older kids (10 and up). Great shuttle driver, very friendly and provided some history of the site. The hike was just challenging enough for us 70ish folks and the views from the top made it worth the effort.

This was a last minute booking & we were glad we got it.
The hike is doable, not crazy hard or complicated the views u see along the way is worth the time, this was a good find.

The tour guide was great! Plenty of time to hike Diamond Head, get pictures and take in the scenery before we needed to meet back at up to return to drop-off.

The hike itself was awesome. 20 minutes up 20 minutes down and then time for food. I don’t know the driver‘s name and didn’t get any history from him – so just a driver – not a tour guide

The driver Matt provided the ultimate experience, he was extremely knowledgeable about the area. He made our experience very enjoyable. More importantly the tour was on schedule, in fact well ahead of schedule.

We had a great time in the Diamond Head Hike. The shuttle was on time and the guide was very knowledgeable about Hawaii and its History. The hike was awesome and I would do it again! Beautiful views!

I wish the driver was more vocal and given more information about the mountain.
2ndly, the most dynamic view of the island; HOWEVER, it's not recommended for anyone with medical condition (s). It's a challenge of approximately 1.6miles with steep, and I mean STEEP Climbing!!! If you're not in physical shape, don't risk it.. otherwise; A must See!

The hike can get steep with a lot of stairs closer to the summit, but overall is a pretty casual hike with great 360 degree views. Several great lookout spots along the way before the 360 degree views at the summit. Highly recommend. Having a shuttle pick you up near your hotel and drop you off at the park is very convenient as well. The tour guide, Matt, did a great job explaining different local aspects during the drive and was generally just a very friendly, gracious, and helpful guide.

Rob, our driver, was very fun, engaging, and informative during our round trip ride over to Diamond Head. The communication for pick up location and time was excellent. I really appreciated all the details. Take your time during the hike, stop and enjoy the views along the way to the top. Remember to take water. You will need it.

This is a great experience. The view was beautiful and the tunnel you get to walk through was fun! It’s definitely a moderate hike, there are several sets of stairs at the top and they are steep but pace yourself and the view is more than worth it!

Booked this with my daughter, the views were fantastic and the hike fun while burning enough energy to not feel guilty about eating sweet treats when we finished.

This activity is described as appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. I’m not sure I agree with that as it was a challenging hike and I’m not in terrible shape. There are places to rest though and the views from the top are spectacular!! Well worth the climb!

Driver was on time. But the speakers and driver accent was so thick that nobody could understand him. He was kind but audio was horrible.

I liked the fact that we took the shuttle and didn’t have to worries on if there were parking. The driver was friendly and called out our name so we knew we were on the right shuttle.

Imagine the disappointment when we are waiting at the pickup location, ready to go and I get a phone call from the tour operator saying that they had unexpected maintenance on their shuttle and therefore they need to cancel our tour. We are standing at the pickup location point with another family that we are traveling with and a third party who is also waiting on the shuttle. They don’t get a phone call. While debating what to do next, the shuttle arrives and calls out the names of the other two parties, but not my name. The driver tells me he doesn’t have enough seats for my family because he has more pickups down the line. After talking to customer service and hearing totally different excuses we determined that they had overbooked and needed to cancel a family. There was no unexpected maintenance needed on their shuttle vehicle.
I booked this tour months ago, for a family of 4 (not some huge family), and had paid in full. My whole day was planned around this tour. I’m not sure if it was Viator that overbooked or the operator, but I received no less than 10 emails leading up to the day of the tour with reminders and waiver requests. It was really messed up to wait until the moment of pick up to call me and cancel and then lie about it. Just admit you overbooked and have to cancel someone if that is how you are going to operate.

Good service and very knowledgeable guide. Bus arrived on time, bus broke down after we have been dropped to the Diamond Head but they arranged the new bus before we came down from the hiking.

Diamond Head is well worth a visit. It is very crowded. This price was too much to pay, It was just a bus ride and the driver didn’t speak except to say when to be picked up. I expected more from the description.

We had a lovely time on this tour. Matt D was our driver and guide. He was very knowledgeable of different sights and things to do/consider while in Waikiki area. Upon being picked up the bus had a technical difficulty outside of the company/driver’s control. Matt kept us informed and entertained with stories of more things to do. Top notch service. Definitely recommend.

Worth the trek! Make you sure you have plenty of water and a few snacks - the walk isn’t far as such but obviously steep incline and quite a few stairs. The views are absolutely stunning !

If you want to get away from figuring out tickets and parking then this is absolutely for you!! You get picked up and dropped off to do the tour in a good amount of time before getting dropped off. Met some amazing friends on this hike. The view is so worth it!
