Kelly was a fantastic tour guide. My husband and I love to bike, so this was killing two birds with one stone. Kelly shared a lot of historically information with the surrounding area on the way to Diamond Head. He took all the pictures we'll ever need of the ride and the hike.
The lunch was a nice reward after all that exercise.

Getting to the Diamond Head in a different way: bike! Kelly is a great guide, and makes this a super enjoyable experience. You get to know places , you wouldn't pass by in another way. The bikes are great, the trails, hiking and views totally worth it. If you like to bike , you'll have a great time. Also super cool: the pics you get of yourself 🤩🚲🙌!! Thanks!!

Kelly was once again amazing. He’s one of a kind and you will definitely be entertained. He’s like the mayor of Honolulu!

A Good quick, early morning bike ride before it gets too hot, 3 hour excursion from downtown Waikiki to Diamond Dead and back. Guide Supplied a great bike with water. And on the way back, we got takeout lunch and stopped at local park to eat on way back. Got papaya curried chicken and banana scone from local neighborhood busy carryout. Food was great. I’m confident that on future rides , visitors would get great local food at other local places.
My Guide had a microphone and wireless speaker on my bike so I could clearly hear him providing verbal warning / safety signals and interesting commentary as we rode through neighborhoods, as he pointed out many sites along the way up to Diamond Head. We met several locals, walking/ biking along the way through town and on the hiker trail to the top of diamond head, that recognized him. So, he is a really knowledgeable tour guide on this particular bike/hike trip, and likely as well as his other Waikīkī area tours. The provided three-speed bike was manual, but they were great pedaling- no problems with the minor hills. Guide noted he provides electric bikes as needed for other small group rides.
In spring /summer 2025 you had best check the Diamond Head State Monument’s website due to construction and possible closures. And remember coordination with your tour guide for a correct time to get your timed “entry only“ pass as a bike/walk-in to Diamond Head State Monument from Hawaii parks, so that you can get entry at an appropriate time.

Kelly was an excellent guide, providing interesting facts and details as we rode. He had speakers on every bike and we could hear him clearly. Very conscientious for our safety. Had an exhilarating hike up and down Diamond Head. Enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Market Grill. The curry chicken in papaya is highly recommended! Kelly took a ton of photos and shared it along with a fun video of our adventures. I'd definitely recommend this tour for those seeking simultaneous exercise and fun!

Kelly is hands down the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He possesses a wealth of knowledge on the area, having lived in Hawaii for more than 40 years. He is thoughtful, kind, and a great conversationalist. He made a lengthy tour feel like hanging out with an old friend. The sights on the Diamond Head tour were amazing and the bikes very comfortable! Highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful day. Loved the local insights. Kelly was an amazing guide; so accommodating. Fish tacos, bike along Waikiki beach, and views from the top of the Crater were spectacular.

This bike tour is great for the following reasons:
1. TOUR GUIDE (KELLY): Kelly is very personable, friendly and easy-going. He is punctual and explained everything clearly. He is organised and well-equipped with the kits that he provides with the bikes. He is very easy to talk to and since he has been living in Hawaii for over 40 yrs, he is technically a "local" who can provide great info and tid bits about certain places as you ride along. He has a great sense of humour and made me feel comfortable and taken care of. When I was having a slightly hard time going uphill, he pushed me along for support, which was very kind of him. Kelly is a conversationalist and has travelled around the world a bit. I feel that he knows a lot about the world since I travelled around the world a fair bit myself for over 20 years. He seems to do a lot of research on various topics and so, the conversation was light-hearted, fun and easy going.
2. ACCURACY OF TOUR: There is nothing outstandingly different from the description. You get exactly what is described on there ( even down to the packets of gummies and water bottles ). Anyone who complains that this is not what they asked for either a) Did not read the description carefully or b) Is not self-aware of their fitness level.
3. EASY BIKE & MODERATE HIKE: I exercise daily and burn around 600-800 calories a day in weight lifting and walking on a normal day. I would say that the bike ride is very easy and pleasant and has a few slightly challenging uphill parts but definitely doable. The hike up the crater is one of the easiest I have experienced except for the stairs (there are some stairs near the summit). This is also doable.

This is the way to see diamond head! Our bike escort, and guide Kelly was awesome! He knows a tremendous amount of information about the island, the culture and was just a lot of fun! The bike portion was challenging, but very good. And the hike was amazing. I would highly recommend this to anybody who is looking for a good way to see this part of Hawaii!

Kelly was an excellent tour guide. He gave us the history behind much of the area. He was friendly and funny and made the trip enjoyable. He took us at our own pace so we could enjoy the experience. I would definitely recommend this tour.

From start to finish, this was a great time! I haven’t ridden a bike since college, but Kelly was encouraging and helpful all the way. He’s fun-loving and full of interesting information about the area. The views were beautiful, and Kelly took many awesome pictures for me too. He’s been in the area over 40 years and one local even yelled out as we rode past, “Kelly’s a legend!”
Esther_T, Jan 2024
Kelly was an amazing guide. He knew so much about the island and its history. Riding a bicycle around, as opposed to a car, was a fantastic idea. I really got to feel like I was immersed in the experience. Reaching the top of Diamond Head felt amazing and the view was stunning. The climb itself wasn’t bad at all but definitely good for a first timer, like me. We stopped at a coffee & bagel shop for lunch, because we were a bit ahead of schedule and the regular lunch place wasn’t open. We had a bagel with lox (everything bagel, cream cheese, smoked salmon). It was probably one of the best bagels/sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was so delicious!! If you are a person who is relatively active, I would highly recommend doing a biking tour with Kelly!!

Tour guide Kelly does awesome job of safely navigating roads to Diamond Head with lots of interesting history too. Hike up DH is a nice challenge and great way to buildup an appetite for delicious tacos afterwards!!!
Dianne_R, Oct 2023
Excellent tour. Communication top notch. We knew where we were supposed to be and when. Kelly made sure that we were kept informed about what was expected of us. Kelly was a fountain of knowledge and what he didn't know about an iphone and its camera isn't worth knowing. I am looking forward to receiving the many photos that he took. I would totally recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys biking. The bike wasn't too hard, the climb to the top pf Diamond Head a little more challenging but Kelly was there the whole way looking out for us and making sure we were ok.
Gary_S, Oct 2023
Kelly gave us a great narrative about the island and was very informative. The pace of the ride and hike was great

Kelly our guide was phenomenal; personable, easy going, informative, patient and fun! We had a large group of 8 with a younger rider and he took such great care of him. This was an amazing experience and perfect way to learn more about the island. Would highly recommend!
