The experience was different hearing all the stories made me feel connected to the city. We enjoyed ourselves and plan to visit the city before the end of the year.

Directions to reach the location weren’t the clearest ended up on the wrong side of the river and missed the event

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that you had trouble finding our location. We do include our address, with a direct Google Maps link, and additional directions on our product page, but we understand that navigating downtown Chicago can be challenging at times. If you're open to it, we’d love the opportunity to welcome you back on another day. Thank you for your understanding.

Such an awesome tour especially in the fall! Andrew was an outstanding, charismatic and funny tour guide. Very memorable stories, not too spooky but definitely eerie. Great activity for a fall night in Chicago.

The instructions state to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure due to boarding times, and I chose to arrive an hour early to be safe. Unfortunately, the published location at 112 East Wacker Drive (Michigan Ave. and Wacker Dr.) is extremely congested and has no practical parking nearby.
The lack of reasonable parking and the resulting traffic meant I spent the majority of my hour searching, finally securing a spot nearly 20 minutes walking distance from the riverwalk entrance.
The instruction to be on board no later than 5 minutes before departure and the stated policy that "all sales are final, we do not offer refunds or exchanges" combine with the poor location to create an unnecessary risk for guests. I arrived late due to unavoidable city congestion and my ticket was forfeited.
For a service with such a strict no-refund policy and a prompt departure rule, the accessibility of the departure point is a critical factor that needs to be clearly addressed. A warning about the extreme difficulty and time required for parking/arrival should be a mandatory part of the booking instructions.
Beware: Build in an excessive amount of time for arrival, as you will likely lose your money if anything delays you.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear you had trouble finding parking near our location. As we're located in downtown Chicago, street parking is limited, but there are several nearby parking garages. The closest garage is conveniently located at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive. Earlier in the day, we sent you a direct message with additional details about our location, including a link to the “Location” section of our website, which offers parking suggestions. Due to the nature of our business, boat cruises along the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, our dockside location is ideal. We have team members stationed outside along the dock to assist guests as they arrive. If you're ever delayed and miss your scheduled departure, we’re happy to offer an exchange for the next available cruise whenever possible. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope to welcome you aboard in the future.

I don’t know if it was the script or the tour guide’s (Doug) delivery, but my group and surrounding groups couldn’t wait for it to end. It was nice being on a boat at night, but it was a very unforgettable experience.

The weather was absolutely perfect. We purchased Premium tickets and got the first pick of top seats. It was gorgeous. I think my only complaint might have been my expectations. It wasn't cheap for a 1.5 hour boat ride and it was called the Creepy Cruise. What it actually was is a person with a microphone telling you scary stories (not really) throughout the trip.
My expectations were that it should have been scarier. Decorate the place like a haunted house, have people in costumes try to scare you as well as tell scary stories with background music.
The person telling stories was great at it, but they weren't "scary" more like history of tragedies. "That was the building of the Chicago fire...and an actress couldn't get free of a harness so she passed in an angel costume." Stuff similar to that. It was interesting for sure but i wanted the Halloween experience.
Great job to all! It was beautiful but suggestions for next time. If you're talking about a girl in a white dress.... hey perfect opportunity missed to bring one out.
If we are talking financially... the tour was lovely but the price was high for so little decor or effort.

We were not able to enjoy the group outing on account of the confirmation email sent from Viator saying "general boarding" at 9:00 PM. The boat operator stated when we arrived at 9:00 that the boat had already left and we needed to be there a half hour earlier. I showed the polite staff member the email to confirm this and he stated I was correct in what the email said but that I would have to call the office during normal business, which is understandable. I did call Viator and was told First Lady, the boat operator would need to authorize a refund, they could not. After speaking with the boat operator, I was told they would have someone contact me, they have not yet. I do have to email to confirm all this, and it seems as if there is just a misunderstanding/ breakdown in communication between the two, I hope this gets resolved so I can receive my nearly $400.00 refunded. I will also note, my team was able to go the next night with another round of tickets purchased and did enjoy the tour.

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Your ticket was for general boarding on the 9:00 PM departure, and the ticket details included a reminder to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. We also sent a direct message beforehand with detailed location information, where we again emphasized arriving 30 minutes early and noted that boarding begins 15 minutes before departure. I’m sorry this information wasn’t helpful in your case, but I’m glad you were able to return another day and enjoy a cruise with us.
