Make your way to either Navy Pier or Michigan Avenue (depending on option chosen) for your cruise departure. Board your riverboat and find a comfortable seat; a restroom is available on the boat.

This is a great tour! It provides up close views of the Chicago skyline and riverfront. Our guide Richard shared many stories about Chicago history and facts about its architecture while keeping the conversation interesting with a touch of humor. I would highly recommend the tour for the boat ride, views of the skyline and riverfront alone, but you probably will also learn a few new facts about Chicago and its architecture as a bonus.

Great experience and very informative. My family enjoyed the 60min tour. An extra perk was the drinks that were served. Beautiful view especially when the sun is setting. We did the 6:45pm which was perfect.

Unfortunate "Rain or Shine" Policy

We incorrectly thought that since they run "rain or shine" that accommodations would be sufficient if weather wasn't ideal. We had reservations for the night tour and weren't able to cancel (within 24 hours) so we tried to dress appropriately and planned to stay on the lower level. It was miserably cold, everything was wet, you couldn't hear the guide and you couldn't see anything through the plastic "windows". If you tried to brave the uper deck there was only enough room for about 10 people to be under cover or have a seat and you were pelted with rain no matter where you stood. You could barely hear the guide there either. All of the other passengers seemed miserable and many expressed their eagerness for it to just be over. On a nice day the tour is probably great, but there should definitely be more flexibility to the no cancelation/refund policy or better ways to make the tour worth the money if the weather isnt ideal.

Boat was open there was no place or shed when it was raining. As you know Chicago is windy and rainy it should be at least closed. There were other boats which were closed or atleast protect you from wind and rain.
