Great walking tour

Barbara_K, Nov 2024
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and affable! We enjoyed it very much. The only issue was finding the exact spot to meet. It would be helpful to provide more specific information for future tours.

Best tour- we really enjoyed it!

The glass was fabulous and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. I was blown away by the beauty of the glass. The fact that these spaces are available to the public makes it even more special!

A True Art Experience

Lynette_L, Sep 2022
The Guide was great. Very knowledgeable and relatable. The Tiffany pieces she showed us in three buildings ( Chicago Cultural Centre, Macy's and the Marquette Building) were amazing. We also saw the Chagall mural and the Picasso sculpture. Definitely worth doing. A true art experience.

The Marquette Bldg. Struck me as an simple, elegant landmark of post- fire Chicago. Also, loved that it was one person’s tribute to Fr. Marquette.

We enjoyed this tour very much. Our guide was fantastic. Part of the tour involves walking to several buildings in the area of the Art Institute, but even on a cold day that was not bad at all. Well worth it! We went back to several of the tour stops on our own the next day to spend more time. We highly recommend this tour.

This interesting tour showed us some beautiful glass and provided a nice historical context for the buildings and art we saw. On a rainy cold day, we did not have to spend an excessive amount of time outside and still got to see a lot. It even had a 'behind-the-scenes feel when we saw the beautiful ceiling pieces in the Art Institute. Even though I have been in the building many times, I had never been in these rooms. Thanks to Pricilla for the 'extras' she squeezed into the tour!

One of the highlights of our trip to Chicago. We were able to go inside buildings we would never know about and see amazing mosaics. Our tour guide was fantastic, it was obvious he really had a passion and knowledge of this topic. I highly recommend this tour!

I'm so happy I found this tour company! It's such a great way to discover not only touristic but much more deep levels of the city in a group of dedicated city lovers and if it's not a basic tour like this Tiffany one you could know even more from Chicagoans you meet in your group. Thank you! I did 3 tours with you and they were amazing!

Enjoyed the tour very much. The guide was well informed and so I learned a lot Since the tour begins at the Art Institute I suggest including the Tiffany pieces on the second floor next to the rotunda. The time of the tour is short for the amount of walking required. We had to keep up a very fast pace through busy streets. We did loose one member. I think for anyone with any kind of difficulty in walking they could not keep up. At times the tour leader was almost out of sight. A suggestion for all tour leaders. When going from place to place be sure that all of the group has assembles before beginning your comments.

Good tour, our tour guide was really knowledgeable, well spoken and kept the tour moving while answering all questions and not making us feel rushed. Kandy W, Sep 2012
The trip was pretty good although the group size was too large (we were told that usually groups are only one half the size that ours was). That also made it very difficult to hear the docent whose voice was not that loud to begin with. This was an efficient means of seeing many of the Tiffany pieces. Also, we did not receive the free gift from Macy's as advertised.

RED_Dragon, Jun 2012
This was an excellent tour, conducted by a knowledgable and friendly guide. I also did two other tours with the Chicago Architecture Foundation and would recommend them too. It's a great way to learn something about the character of a city that you'd never learn otherwise. I recommend very comfortable walking shoes and sun protection.
