A fun, informative and interactive experience. Its nice learning about Chicago's history and some facts. Going on the ledge was fun, although the time is short and quick, but there are queues and it keeps the queue moving. We had good views from such a height, luckily it was a clear day so we could see far out.

What To Expect

Visit Chicago's highest point—the Skydeck, located on the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower)—with this prebooked admission ticket.

Head right in at your appointed time, pass a security screening, and explore several exhibits at the on-site Chicago Experience, designed for learners of all ages.

Board the elevator and head straight to the top. Admire the lofty views of top Chicago attractions, including Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, and Millennium Park, all from a height of 1,353 feet (412 meters). On a clear day, you can see up to 50 miles (81 kilometers) out. It’s also the perfect vantage point for great sunset and twinkling nighttime city views.

You can even walk out onto the Ledge, a glass-box-like balcony that extends 4.3 feet (1.3 meters) from the building, and experience an unconventional view of the city.

Great Photo Opportunity

Ann_W, Jul 2026
Always a fun time. Book expedited tix if you can. Stop at the shop when you get off the elevator, that’s when we were to explore goodies. Leave your mark on the sequence wall and then get in line for the highlight of the visit. You’ll be directed to the return elevator after your window photos are taken.

Worth it

Florence_G, Jul 2026
What an amazing experience it’s not just the views but also the walk thru to get to the main attractions. This one is worth it.

What you would expect

Marcia_B, Jul 2026
A very typical high building lookout opportunity. Timed entry. After scanning the tickets, one wanders through a pathway that discusses various aspects of the history of Chicago and the building. Stand in line to take the elevator up. Walk around all 4 sides and look out. View depends upon the weather. End up at the skywalk with 90 seconds to take pictures. Elevator back down and out. Taipei was better...had a variety of fun picture posing opportunities on the top floor. More space on the top floor than Empire State Building.

Phenomenal

Nick_M, Jul 2026
Great time, amazing view, will definitely come back. Book ahead wait time very minimal for the amount of people.

Easy way to buy tickets and save money

Great experience and purchasing tickets was extremely easy through viator. Best way to save money and get tickets in advance.

Breathtaking view of Chicago

David_N, Jun 2026
Very cool and informative museum of the history of Chicago that you get to experience before going to the top of the building. Great view of the entire city.

Juice Not Worth the Squeeze

Darcella_C, Jun 2026
It is expensive and you only get 90 seconds in the window. You can get back in line but the line is longer to wait in than the time in the window. There are other windows to look out and take photos but not to stand on and look down. Overall fun but not worth $49 a person. Also if you want to get expedited through line that is an extra cost. I recommend only go very early to avoid lines. Parking is also atrocious.

Willis Tower Skydeck Visit

Fun and educational! The people working were super friendly! It’s an experience worth doing if you’re in Chicago!

Phenomenal history facts about Chicago! Great panoramic views of the city and surrounding states! Great pictures!

Willis Tower (Sears in my heart)

francisco_r, Jun 2026
The view is of course amazing. It’s the best way to view the city. However, it’s just a quick visit. Unless you REALLY try, it’s maybe a 20min walk at the skydeck. Worth it? I guess if you’ve never been. It’s not cheap, which makes multiple visits questionable.

Great views from the floor with the ledge but the ledge itself is not for the faint of heart! Was a little nervous being on the ledge but definitely worth it

We went at night to see the skyline light up. The city was beautiful only downside was the glare of the glass in photos during night. Minor negative on otherwise great experience.

This is a great experience, however it is expensive! Almost $100 for 2 adults for about 1/2 hour total - only 1 minute on the Ledge. The views were exceptional!

Definitely worth going! I was very nervous getting into the platform, but everyone was super nice and one of the workers took my photo. They know how to get the best angle as well!

Tip: Go before 11am to avoid crowds and excessive waiting. Exhibits detailing the history and architecture of Chicago were very informative and entertaining. Friendly and helpful staff. Also, great food court on the ground floor of the building.

Have a plan for photos. It would be helpful even on the sky deck if there were just listing of different poses and things that were optimized your pictures After workers tape the initial picture you're on your own ring , a selfie stick

wow!!!

Incredible views! Seemingly death defying! Awesome life fulfilling experience! Check it out to see Chicago and life in a new light!

The Unfortunate Ones 🙄

Gerald_S, May 2026
We actually didn't make it there in time for the event. My niece from Texas and I were really hoping to experience the thrill and excitement of it all be we were kind of stuck down by the Navy Pier. So unfortunate for us but the thought of it was exciting 😃

I’m a scaredy cat

Dawn_M, May 2026
The sites were beautiful from up there and I am so appreciative of the lady up there who was patient with me. I’m TERRIFIED of heights and had a small meltdown but she didn’t push, she walked away to give me space and once I stepped out she took the picture . I truly appreciate her kindness

Willis Tower Sky Deck

Shelley_P, Apr 2026
The view from the top is amazing. You get just enough time on the ledge for photos. The elevator ride up and down is quick. Parking around Willis Tower is expensive. We chose the first available garage and it was more for all day parking so 1 hour and 3 minutes cost us $48!!!!

Be scared but do it anyway!

Mallory_T, Apr 2026
This was scary yet adventerous! The view was spectacular! I am glad I did it and got it off of my bucket list.
