Had a really great tour. Bruce was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good story. Mannequins are kinda weird.

Great fun! Got to quickly tour the ship, seeing some of the exhibits, while learning about the grueling history surrounding the ship. Even gives the group an opportunity to see quarters in the dark! Must do event in Charleston!

Great guide! If you park, pay for at least 2 hours of parking. If you take the ghost tour and want souvenir from the gift shop, know it closes before the tours start.
Well worth the money.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Andrew!

Bruce is a fantastic guide, very knowledgable and experienced. This man has seen things. The ship is a real haunt and a was a temporary home for many of America’s bravest. Read the trip to dos so you are ready!

Our group varied in age from 12-60 and everyone enjoyed this tour. My grandfather served in the Navy during the era of this ship and it was really neat to explore and imagine him living and working on a similar ship. I would love to come back and see it during the day as well!
Our tour guide was Dustin and he was great. We really loved his stories and personality. Fun guy! You can tell how passionate he is about this ship. Seeing the ship at night and seeing the view of Charleston from the flight deck was breathtaking.
Our 12 year old girl really liked seeing all the planes, which surprised us as she never showed an interest before - so this ship unlocked something new for her and that’s so cool!
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you so much for sharing this! We love hearing that the tour resonated with every generation in your group, especially the connection to your grandfather’s Navy service. And how wonderful that the Yorktown sparked a new interest.
We’re so glad you enjoyed Dustin, too. His passion for the ship is contagious, and we’ll be sure to share your kind words with him. We hope to welcome you back for a daytime visit in the future!

Our tour guide, Justin was incredibly well-versed about the history of USS Yorktown. The ship is really wonderful and definitely worth a tour. It gets a little warm in some parts but not unbearable.
Response from Host, May 2026
We are glad to hear you enjoyed your tour with Dustin!
Stephanie_M, May 2026

Emma_B, May 2026
It was awesome and our tour guide was wonderful. The views from the deck at night are out of this world.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thanks for the 5-star review!
Perri_O, May 2026
This tour was really fun and informative, especially for those of us who aren’t looking for every detail of military history. Seeing planes up close and seeing the sunset from the flight deck were rare and wonderful experiences. The only consideration for future tours might be to include a bit more about the ship itself in general as people are walking through it.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for your feedback, Perri! We appreciate your support.
Paula_F, May 2026
Not scary as I expected but informative . The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about facts of the ship.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for the review, Paula~

Ken was an amazing tour guide who let us into various parts of the ship and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend as it was well worth the money!
Response from Host, May 2026
We appreciate your kind words about Ken's tour!
christine_m, May 2026
This was great tour! Our guide, Ken, was knowledgable, friendly and told us great stories about paranormal activity experienced and witnessed on the Yorktown. The ship itself is awe inspiring and is a museum that captures its extraordinary history. You should be prepared to navigate narrow hallways and to climb up and down steep ladders. Wear right shoes/clothes.
Response from Host, May 2026
We are so glad to hear you had a great time!
Tristan_B, May 2026
Absolutely loved everything about it. The stories, the history, getting to go into places on the ship you typically couldn’t. All of it was amazing. Our tour guide had some great stories as well and was very kind.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for joining us!
Lora_C, May 2026
Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The flight deck at sunset alone was worth it but the history of the USS Yorktown and the energy that holds to her is maritime knowledge that should not be forgotten.
Response from Host, May 2026
We are so glad to hear you had a great time!
Amy_M, May 2026
This was an unexpected delight! Our tour guide Bruce Orr was so friendly and knowledgeable, not to mention a very gifted storyteller. We also love that a portion of the ticket sales go towards preserving the historical landmarks at which they lead tours, ensuring that they are around for future generations to enjoy. Overall an excellent value and an experience we highly recommend to anyone physically able to do so (there are some ladders and stairs, but it is not too rigorous).
Response from Host, May 2026
We appreciate your support!
Kevin_Z, May 2026
