The time allotted for the tour could have been longer. Also, the facility tour guides varied as to the knowledge they had of the facility. When we visited the house was under repair, so not open for our tour. The facility grounds were nice for the time of the year we visited (late march).

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you felt the tour time was not long enough. We do make every effort to provide the most comprehensive Middleton Place experience available, and our tour currently allows for more time on site than any other operator.
Regarding the house tour, guests are informed in advance that the Middleton Place house is closed for restoration until mid April. I understand that this may have impacted your experience, and I am sorry if it was disappointing despite that prior notice.
I also appreciate your comments about the guides at Middleton Place. While we partner with the site to provide access to their programming, the staff and guided experiences on property are managed directly by Middleton Place and are outside of our control. Reviews on this page reflect Chicora Tours, and we always strive to provide the highest level of service in transportation, coordination, and overall experience.

The place is a nice location with some great historic information and evidence along side nice gardens. However, Lunch time was too early at 11:30 & apart from one guided beyond the fields finding our way around and running order so we ended up backwards and forwards trying to see things we wanted to. You have to ask questions in the house as there is no audio guide to follow.

Gardens are gorgeous even in the fall. Docents are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. House tour was above expectations. And, the meal, was yummy southern food. Minor concern was the lack of clarity of presentation locations although printed schedule was helpful.

Beautiful location. Wear comfortable shoes for walking the grounds. Food was wonderful. Transportation was perfect and enjoyable. Entertaining.

Amazing tour and a prefect day excursion near Charleston we just Love it. And I highly recommend adding the cart tour . And lunch in Restaurant was lovely also .

We went to Middleton Place with Chicoro tours. Nick the owner drove us there and did an excellent job explaining the history of the area. We took a garden tour to explore the beautiful grounds. The lunch was amazing! I highly recommend this tour.

The tour time was too short! We didn't get to see everything and felt very rushed. Was given confusing directions by an employee when we got there, and spent precious time trying to figure out where we were supposed to go. Definitely too short, considering the amount of money spent. Next time will just drive myself out there...

I just wish we had had more time at Middleton. So much to see. When our ride arrived, we still had not seen a lot of the grounds or outbuildings.

We loved the House Tour, and the grounds are beautiful.
The staff onsite are cordial and helpful, We met one of the curators and had a great conversation about period textiles and needlework implements. Loved the docents’ stories too.

This tour was well organized and very interesting. Out driver Matthew shared a ton of information throughout our trip to and from the plantation. While on the property the guides and docents were friendly and knowledgeable. The lunch was all you can eat and the food and service were great. The tour was a mix of guided and independent. I recommend this experience!

Matt, our driver, gave a great tour while driving to and from Middleton. Very knowledgeable and personable. The reason for 4 stars: the lunch was only ok and we were finished with lunch by the time they had fried chicken. Middleton didn't plan very well ahead of time to make sure that the buffet was properly stocked.
