Fin was a fantastic guide! He was very knowledgeable about Charleston’s early settlement and architecture and kept our small group of seven engaged and moving at a comfortable pace. The two-hour tour was well planned, including a mid-tour water and restroom break—the restrooms were very clean.
A couple of tips: read the fine print! Wear closed-toe shoes, and give yourself a little extra time to find the meeting spot. It listed 122 W Bay, but we actually met under a tree near the park benches. Not a big deal—just good to know ahead of time. Highly recommend the tour!
The tour was very interesting with the history and architecture. The guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. It was delightful!
Brian was very good and very personable. I would do the tour again. It was a good way to get an overview of the city. It’s also clear he doesn’t follow an exact script and will adjust based on the audience and what’s going on around him. He clearly knows a lot about Charleston the city where he grew up. I’m a history buff and even I thought he spouted a lot of names and facts- I could tell that he thought he was weaving together facts but sometimes it was a little too much.

Of course every tour is different, but I know I can get wordy sometimes. I always try to connect places with people on our group if that works. We have had some larger groups lately and that can also play into more questions and explanations. Thank you so much for letting me know I will be conscious of keeping my explanations simple and concise. I hope you enjoyed your time in Charleston!
Brian did a great job! We truly enjoyed all the stories and the history of the area! Walking thru some of the residential streets was a highlight.
My bestie and I loved this walking tour! Our tour guide, Fin Smith, was amazing. So informative, engaging, and charming! He did a great job flexing to the needs of our group, and was so responsive to group questions. I loved learning about the city from him, and learning about his own history! Highly recommend this walking tour. It was also a very small group, which I really enjoyed!

plentiful information about the original settlement of the history of the city. Stops were to look at building and focused on the history of the buildings, the trade and merchants of the 1800’s. Finn was exceptional with his dates and facts and told them as part of a story. He was also Very personable and fun to listen too.
Fin was amazing! Sooo knowledgeable & just a very friendly human being! Unfortunately he’s a Clemson fan!!!

This was an absolute amazing experience. We were able to walk the historic streets of Charleston and get an amazing cultural and historic perspective of life as an early colonist from our travel guide Fin. He was very knowledgeable and is an and is an educator at heart. Fin was a great steward of Charleston and we would recommend his tour to anybody traveling in Charleston.

If you love architecture and history, this is the tour for you! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, the heat index in Charleston that day was 118. My only suggestion would be for tour guides to be cognizant of the heat, shorten their spiel, make stops for narratives short and keep the tour moving. Otherwise, I highly recommend this tour!

Brian our guide was excellent and showed us much of historic Charleston. There is so much to see and visit and he gave us a great introduction so that we can return at our leisure to explore further.

Per weather- Get your walking shoes on and bring a hand held fan if it is summer. It is hot, even in the morning. Also an umbrella help!
Our guide Brian was so very professional. He was in contact with us the day of the tour and made it very easy for us to meet him.
