This Zoo is spectacular!!...
This Zoo is spectacular!! My husband and I first came here for our Honeymoon. We returned for our 27th Anniversary!! I love how close you can get to the animals without being in harms way. There's so many places to eat and they're not your typical pizza, hot dogs or burgers. I would highly recommend taking a full day(yes, it will take a full day) and seeing this zoo.

This was an AWESOME...
This was an AWESOME experience!!! Darcy, our tour guide, was really great at creating the ambiance and relating the history of Whaley House! Although no paranormal experiences, my husband got a picture that that made you scratch your head and go hhhmmmm. I would love to go again!!! Highly recommend this tour even if only for the historical background.

We had a great experience...
We had a great experience with Ben, we had a small group and learned a lot about San Diego’s history between having some casual easy going conversations with the group.
We were really pleased with the food and drinks and we did not leave hungry or totally sober.
We got a great taste of old town and Ben was a fantastic tour guide.
Thanks again

Amazing
I highly suggest this tour. One person helps you cross the border. They then hand you over to a local that takes you around town. I had Tadeo Calles and he was amazing! We took a bus to downtown which was about 5 mins away. We then walked around learning history, eating tacos, and drinking tequila.
The tacos were amazing. We got to do our own toppings. The tequila was just a tasting but it was about 8 flavors. You then were offered the chance to buy a litre or 4 small bottles. There was no pressure to buy.
Tadeo was very knowledgeable. I got a great picture of the history of the city along with art and culture. I can’t wait to visit again.
At the end you have a gap of time to go shopping. The store owners were vocal but again not overly pushy. When I did go in to see the stores each person was very kind. They tried to get you to buy stuff but they also accepted no fine. I do a ton of tours like this. They usually partner with some small shops to bring customers. Too often the stores are pushy and it’s very difficult to say no (like the time I paid 100$ for a pashmina in India because I truly felt kidnapped lol) these people had beautiful trinkets and when I said I could only fit small things in my suitcase they respected that and showed me small wood items and magents.
If you have global entry bring your card with you. Do not rely on the app (grumble grumble) if you can go during the week aim for that as crossing is much quicker.

Off the beaten path walking tour
Jennifer was knowledgeable, funny, and very kind for our party of two. The tour includes a gelato stop which is not only delicious but a great rest time. We enjoyed seeing the sights of Coronado that were off the beaten path. Great way to experience the island (not an island) by foot!

San Diego Gas lamp district
The tour was so informative and we went to a nice variety of places, including the baseball field, Mexican restaurant, Greek confusion, etc. at each stop you could choose an alcohol alcoholic or mocktail. I couldn’t decide which was my favorite place. A tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun to be with.

Definitely hear the Old Towns history with this tour
Branwell provided a great overview of the history of Old Town & the people that developed the area. His pace & repeat of some info was helpful. The only disappointment (not his fault) is that the Victorian homes are not renovated so we weren’t able to enter any of them.

Bus driver Chris was great-the meeting spot is wrong!!
Chris the bus driver great.
However, in the app, the MEETING POINT INFO says 825 West Harbor Blvd is where the tour meets. It doesn’t meet there.
The tour check-in kiosk and where the trolley/bus parks is behind THE BAY COMPANY which is located at 825 Kettner Blvd, about a 2/10th mile and a 4 minute walk.
This misinformation is problematic, especially after dark and for those with mobility difficulties.
Please correct this.

I had a few hours to...
I had a few hours to spare during my trip to San Diego, and I decided to take advantage of its proximity to Tijuana and take a tour there! I took the trolley from downtown San Diego and Andres was waiting for me outside the McDonalds alongside one other tour member (so we had an intimate two-person tour!). He walked us through to the border area, and explained how the process would be. He met us on the other side once we went through passport control and then he took us to meet his colleauge Tabitha! She took over from the tour and we got on a public bus/taxi to get to downtown Tijuana. We had a great time taking photos, talking about the culture and life in Tijuana, trying Tequila, Cajeta, and delicious tacos! It was the right choice for me to get to experience Tijuana with someone who knows the area. We had some free time to do souvenir shopping, and then Tabitha took us back to the border via public bus/taxi and then we walked across back to the San Diego trolley. I would highly recommend this trip for solo travelers who want to explore Tijuana and get a small taste of Mexico!

Best Tour
I had a wonderful time on my tour of Tijuana. Victor our guide was excellent, I was beyond impressed with his knowledge of the history and culture. The food was amazing!!! Best street tacos. The tequila tasting was very fun. It was safe and easy to get around. Definitely recommend this tour if you're curious about the border city.

Awesome tour!!!
Wow! This was a super awesome tour. RT was our guide and he was just so knowledgeable and friendly. Not only did he go over murder mysteries, but he also made sure we knew about the history of San Diego. He showed us historical buildings and the tales behind them as well. I would totally take this tour again and highly recommend it.

Great Intro to San Diego
Great introduction to San Diego! It has many stops but as others said, only 45-60 minutes at some stops. We did this on our first day so we could decide what to narrow in to visit. For example, La Jolla was enough for us so did not feel the need to go back. Balboa park we wanted to see some more so went back a few days later. We had just enough time for lunch in Coronado. Guide was knowledgeable with lot of history and had videos as well. The bus holds 14, we had 10 so a small group setting. Again, use it as introductory tour. If want more exploring then do hop on hop off. We are happy we did it.
