Very informative, comfortable and lots to see. And if you are disabled you can enjoy the tour. You don't have to get off the trolley unless you want to. I would do it again. We started at site number 1. Driver James was excellent 👌🏾

Great way to see highlights of San Diego. We got to choose which stop to get off knowing that there was another trolley coming soon. The drivers drove us safely, they were well informed with history that they shared as we traveled. The trolleys were very comfortable we had great views of everything.

The staff was great in every trolley and at every stop. My 85 year old mom was with us and needed some accommodations as we entered and exited the trolley. They were kind and patient and made a place for her mobility cart without complaint. We were in San Diego during a heat wave and they were attentive to everyone’s well being.
My bad
John_G, Sep 2026
Take entire tour before getting off. Do not use if the baseball team is playing, will by-pass two stops. Very little time to view in 20 minutes hop on/hop off. We missed 7 stops because we got off to eat & a baseball game.
Girls Getaway
Maria_M, Sep 2026
The trolley tour is so worth it, if you’ve never been to San Diego because they do plenty of spots where you can get off and get back on.
It ‘s best if you get a two day pass we only got the one day and it wasn’t enough but also there was some stops that were not available due to festivities going on in the area.
Poor Customer Service
Donald_R, Sep 2026
The tour was fantastic and our guide was great! The tour soured when we transitioned to a new trolley in Old Town
After boarding the new trolley and being warmly greeted by the new driver, some lady jumped on the trolley and rudely demanded that we show her a sticker or get off the trolley. After spending almost two hours and $130 dollars, I was appalled by the lack of awareness and attention to the customer experience by the employee. I highly recommend that she adjust her attitude and behavior or find another line of work.

This is a great way to visit different places in San Diego. You can make the choices either to stay on or get off. You also don’t have to think about parking.
A must to go on

Great way to see the city. You can take your time at each stop and explore the area. We rode a whole trip and then went to the places we liked.
Worthy of seeing

If you get Jacob as the driver, he’s very known and has a good sense of humor. It’s worth mentioning & doing.
Drivers Make It Quite Enjoyable
David_M, Aug 2026
Jack is definitely the most entertaining and comical driver. All were informative but some were a bit hard to understand - mostly because they talk too fast and their is a lot of road noise.
Scam in San Diego. The worst experience!
Mark_C, Aug 2026
We waited at a designated pickup spot as directed for 1 hour 16 minutes. The bus never arrived. We called and could not get through. I am 86 and my wife is 80. We just couldn’t stand in the heat anymore. There is no seating. We called and asked for a refund to our credit card and was given a web site 4 refund.com. There is no such place.
Highly recommend

Give yourself time, especially if you plan to get on and off to explore the city.

Pam_S, Aug 2026
Great way to tour the city and its attractions! The only down side is you will miss some of the stops if you linger very long at any given stop. And some of the stops, specifically Balboa Park, you have to pay an entrance fee to several of the exhibits there, like the different gardens , museums, zoo…and we’re not informed of this ahead of time. So take extra $$ if you plan to spend any amount of time at the stops.
New look on San Diego

Learning some of the history in San Diego old town I never knew, touring places you would never go to, and it’s just a relaxing educational tour.
Grandparents ride with toddler
Carol_O, Aug 2026
The published stops have been changed. The trolley no longer stops in Gas Lamp nor at the Marriott.
The trolley is friendly to small children, but not to strollers. Our first driver demonstrated impatience with our 14 month old grandchild, who was behaving perfectly normally and not bothering anyone.
Great overview
Linda_S, Aug 2026
A great way to orient yourself to what is in San Diego. History may or may not be included from your tour guide.

Calling All Couch Potatoes
Sarah_E, Jul 2026
This is for you folks with hidden disabilities and all couch potatoes on the fence! I weigh 300 pounds and walk only from my home office to the kitchen and back, and nevertheless was able to handle the activity without much difficulty. My arms are not sore the next day although I thought they would be. The walk from the surf place to the beach is about 300-400 meters, definitely doable. I enjoyed it a great deal. I would say take a water bottle with you on the ride. Good luck!
Ride about San Diego
maggiediab, Jul 2026
The trolly is so fun. We did it in Boston years ago so it was great to see it here. David was the best guide. San Diego is beautiful of course but it has so much history too. David made it fun. The only downside was the comic con was in town so unfortunately we had to bypass 3 stops because there was no way of getting down there. It’s a must do activity if you want to get to know the city and then decide where you want to get off and spend more time. Start early, do the entire tour first and then stop where you want after to spend more time. So much fun!!!
If you don’t want to...

If you don’t want to drive in San Diego, this is the way to do it and you can see things that you might not know of, and it does different stops that you can get on and off at, very convenient!
Vacation
SueAnn_F, Jul 2026
All the stops/ sites are amazing. If you come during Comic-Con you do miss out on a few stops . But otherwise it’s worth it. The food in little Italy is delicious, balboa park is beautiful just do your research on which museums are free and which you have to pay for
Excellents
