Without a doubt, this was...

Without a doubt, this was one of the major highlights of our trip. Originally, our family had looked at doing a golf cart tour. So happy we chose this instead. Roberto was our guide and so wonderful. Fantastic tour!

Maggie was amazing! I've done a Vatican tour before, and despite how crowded it was this time, Maggie navigated it expertly. She was so kind and funny, made a connection with each person on the tour and remembered all of us to make sure we stayed with the group. She explained things in such an interesting way and it was like seeing it all for the first time. Maggie would explain what we were seeing in the Vatican, but also took time to explain a lot of the nuances or "behind the scenes" of the Vatican as well. Highly recommend!

Great Tourguide and Tour Small Groups

This was a great tour. The meeting point was easy to locate which is a big plus. Our tourguide Marianna was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. She was very nice and conscious of everyone’s needs. There were stops made to get out of the heat and drink water. There were three or four challenging stairways. But, the views were well worth the climb. Marianna showed and explained all of the areas listed with great detail. We have a lot of great photos and memories that we’ll cherish.

If you get Sharon - you're in for a great tour!!

Sharon was phenomenal! We had a small group - 3 couples and myself. Couldn't ask for a better group. Everyone was engaged, asked questions, and stayed together. Sharon was so knowledgeable and gave us so much insight into Rome's history as well as present day. The tour brought new light to places I had walked by but didn't know much about yet. And ending at the colloseum was perfection! Sharon was a great guide - knew people we passed, was so friendly with us as well as waiters and others working around the city from seeing her give tours. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I've been on many tours in many countries, and I've passed quite a few during my stay in Rome, and none were as good as ours tonight. Thank you so much!!

When in Rome...

This is a must if in Rome! Whether you choose to visit and do a more in-depth tour of the underground, or choose this tour of the inside, the history and stories that our guide shared were excellent. Don't just view the Colosseum from the outside, being inside is crucial to understanding the history of this amazing place. I can't imagine touring the Colosseum without the vast knowledge our tour guide had.

I would highly recommend Viator Tours. Our flight got delayed by 23 hours and we were going to miss our Tour. When I contacted Viator to reschedule, they worked hard to get us in the day we arrived in Rome. Even though there was a fee to change our reservation, we didn't miss it! We also enjoyed the Tour, itself!

Excellent Value and History

Christian Ricci was a great guide- knowledgeable and funny. This tour was an excellent choice for those tho want a value oriented option, those who want to avoid the heat and crowds, and those who want to walk a little less than the typical 3 hour comprehensive tour of these areas. I had taken a 3.5 hour tour about 10 days prior with a private group and it was great, but I knew my teenage history buff wouldn’t love the heat and crowds. This was perfect for her. Christian was awesome. Tip him well.

Fun night out

Interesting tour, and a way to see Rome at night feeling a little more secure. Our guide Semi was terrific. Informative and energetic. Also, he started the tour walking very briskly, and when I asked him to modify his pace for older folks in our group, he was very accommodating. Excellent guide for the tour.

Ivan’s Night Ghost Tour

Slightly confusing to find at the start but once we met Ivan and he started his tour it was a really great and fun experience! It went so fast eventhough it lasted 1 hour 30 minutes because it was so interesting and engaging throughout. Ivan was very knowledgable and passionate about Roman history and is a natural story teller with good jokes. Defiantly would recommend as a great way to spend a night to anyone visiting Rome!

There was a little more...

There was a little more walking involved, but very much worth it. Very informative guide gave us a lot of history and stories all about Rome.. my favorite part of the trip was finding out about the aqua ducts under the city and knowing that you could drink the water straight from the fountains.
