Meet at the Caffé Vaticano coffee bar just opposite the Vatican Museums to avoid the throngs near the museums' entrance, then follow your guide to navigate through the crowds and directly inside the complex.
Explore the highlights of the vast galleries for about two hours with an art historian, listening to commentary about the top artworks as you stroll through the museum. Stop to admire the Raphael Rooms (if the Basilica is closed) and spend about 30 minutes inside the Sistine Chapel.

Our guide was excellent, prepared with a huge binder of support documents and able to answer any questions we had! If you want a guide that gives you every detail about every room she is who you want for your guide! Good shoes are a must as you walk through an entire country on this tour.
Tour guide was very knowledgable and provided detail to what we saw. Overall tour was crowded and very hot.
Due to the taxi strike, we were unable to get to the starting point on time. When we finally arrived, the tour operator provided us with our tickets and guided us through the security point which allowed us to complete a self guided tour. Without her assistance we would not have had the opportunity to visit. Thank you again!

Even though the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica were super crowded, our tour guide was able to bypass some of the masses to make it a very pleasant experience.
She was also very knowledgeable and told us the history story-book style instead of just a bunch of dates and names.

The tour was very comprehensive and the guide was very knowledgeable. The headset was good but not the easiest to understand everything being said in the crowd + with the guides accent. A little bit of understanding around rest/toilet stops would have been good. Overall a good experience and a good way to see the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica.

Accept no substitute, this small group tour is amazing. Informative, and customized (it felt that way even with an our group of 10). Our guide was wonderful! The chapel/basilica were awe inspiring!
