Fantastic night with Marco. His passion for photography shows and he is willing to give advice on the art of photography during this tour. He has a well planned route and will ensure you get some great photos. If you want some great night photos in Rome this is a great way to do it.

Marco is so so good. He guides you to the best spots to get amazing photos and helps you compose a beautiful picture. He also instills his love of photography in you and you see the world a little differently. He is also so kind and fun. Marco is a terrific photography guide. He has lived in Rome his entire life, so knows where to shoot the popular attractions from, but better- he knows spots tourists would not think of.
Rome is amazing and so much more beautiful at night (and much less crowded)- so this is the tour to take.
Marco is also a long-time photography teacher and loves to engage to help improve your photography skills. I was lucky enough to have him 1-1 (no others signed up for the tour, which is limited to 4), so I got real focus and guidance from him.
Bottom line- whether you simply want someone to show you the perfect spots in Rome or someone who can help you through camera setup and composition, Marco is your man.

This tour was a fantastic way to see some of the sights in Rome and to learn photography techniques. Marco was obviously very knowledgeable about photography and knew the best places to view the city at night. With his help, I was able to capture some great nighttime images of Rome. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in photography!

Marco was very accommodating of how tired and hungry we were after we went on a 3 hour tour of the Vatican Museums and a 3 hour Colosseum tour. He was very knowledgeable of how to take excellent photographs.

This was an incredible experience. We had the good fortune of having Marco as our guide. He was fun, kind, accommodating, and interesting to visit as we toured several of Rome's main historical sites. Marco patiently guided us through the process of taking some extraordinary photos.

Marco was an absolute pleasure to work with, and was incredibly knowledgeable both about photography and about the subjects we were shooting. From the start, Marco’s passion for photography was clear. He explained his philosophy on photography which (as a non-photographer) I still found incredible and a great lesson. I had purchased this as a gift for my brother who was the one shooting, but Marco was happy to show me some tips to get the best shots on my iPhone too. Marco went above and beyond in helping us try to find the perfect shots. He even went as far as to move a construction fence to allow us to get the perfect shots of Castillo Sant Angelo. We did the trip in early November 2024 so we were lucky enough to have a private tour with just us two and Marco. I have no doubt that even if we had others with our group, Marco would still have been just as incredible to work with. I can not recommend this experience enough for anyone interested in capturing photos that could hang on your walls for years to come. Truly an incredible night with an wonderfully talented and helpful guide.

Marco was awesome and very experienced! My wife and I did not have professional cameras and just used our iphone/android cameras in Marco's special spots. We were noobies compared to our other group member but we were still able to learn a lot and capture some amazing views. Whether you are experienced in photography or not, this night tour amazing since there weren't as many people around. It helped us enjoy our collosseum tour the next day since we didn't have to take as many photos!

A great experience and communication from our guide. He provided great tips on composition, lighting, depth of field, rule of thirds and other key concepts. We walked and drove to some very photogenic spots and Marco provided individual attention to make sure that everyone was able to capture some extraordinary shots.

It was amazing to learn techniques and have constructive criticism from one of the best photographers in Italy, in my opinion. This is one of the highlights of our time in Rome! Marco is so knowledgeable and patient...we used his tips and advice throughout the rest of our two week trip. My husband wasn't even trying, but picked up on so much and it made the rest of his trip pictures (and mine) so much better! We really enjoyed being in Rome at night, more peaceful, less crowded and relaxing! I used my iPhone and the other traveler used her SLR camera...Marco had help for us both! I highly recommend and will look for things like this in other cities and places we go!

I’m so glad I booked this tour while on my solo business trip in Rome. I was concerned about the heat during the day and how that would impact my ability to visit all the historic sites. This tour was a godsend! Not only did I get to explore sites (and sights) I may have never seen, I got to do it with the vision of a master photographer, Marco, who genuinely emanates the love of photography. Originally I wasn’t sure if I could participate because I wasn’t going to be bringing my Nikon, only my iPhone (much easier to travel with) but Marco completely welcomed that AND lent me his tripod the entire night, which made an absolute difference in helping me capture some of the most breathtaking photos of Roma at night. They look like magazine shots. I’m so impressed and cannot recommend this tour enough! You’ll have a magical and fun night because alongside the beauty of the city, Marco is such a friendly and helpful guide.

What a magical evening seeing Rome both lit up and in shadows. Marco did an excellent job helping me get the best photos from my iPhone (I didn’t know that it had this capability). Marco knew all the spots to get the most interesting photos and provided the coaching to capture magnificent photos. He also offered thoughtful dialogue and historical context. Please note this is primarily a walking tour so you also can take in the sights, sounds, and aromas from local shops and outdoor venues. Highly recommend!

This was an excellent tour. The primary purpose was to take night photos, and the tour guide exceeded expectations in that regard. It was a great experience! I am not very familiar with Rome, and didn't have much time. So, for me it was a very productive evening in terms of photography. More than four hours we wondered night streets of Rome, stopped for a coffee break. Marco took his time with everyone from our group, didn't rush. He showed us off-the-beaten-path scenes of oft-photographed places, and helped us with camera settings for night photography. Thank you

One of the best. The best photography workshop at night. Marco really shows you the best view to capture that shot that isn't a 'tourist snapshot,' from angles that tourists would not be capturing, so the photo would stand out. One example is the Altar of the Fatherland, from the Forum, showing the old juxtaposed with the newer building, showing a story of history. Remarkable. To shoot as a professional, observing the story of the shot, the elements of composition, the best settings to get the best from the lighting on these magnificent buildings and monuments. Marco is a true gentleman, assisting, even walking me the last part that he could not get the car to my hotel. I had sore legs and in one part, he even arranged for me to meet him at a corner, whilst he walked a fair way to get the car. He has a great sense of humour too. I would highly recommend his tour of Rome at night.
