Amazing tour with Anna!

We had the best food tour with Anna! She had an amazing enthusiasm and energy that kept our group moving and laughing. Each of the five stops provided us with knowledge about Roman culture and food, and we did not leave hungry! The neighborhood that the tour is in is a nice change from the city center of Rome, so that was an added perk. 100% recommend this tour!

Strangers become friends sharing stories over a delicious meal

Delicious food and wine at every stop. Vincenzo provided excellent commentary that made us appreciate the meal even more. But there was an added bonus. Vincenzo had a warm personal touch. His constant smile and friendly manner spread throughout the group. Even though none of us knew each other, we overcame language barriers and connected as if we were at a family gathering. The sense of friendship over a shared meal was priceless. What a wonderful experience.

Roman Food Tour - Terrific Night!

The Prati Tour with Vivien guiding us was terrific! We started at La Nicchia Cafe where we warmed up with some DOP cheeses and pestos, some foods infused with different truffles, and had a nice Prosecco DOC. Next stop was the Bonci Pizzarium, with some unique pizza offerings and a nice red wine (the pineapple and potato pizza was delicious!). Il Segreto was next, where we had a sit down meal with plenty of tasty small plates (and more wine - there were options here and all were terrific!). Paciotti Salumeria was perhaps the highlight - a family owned business with multiple generations of handsome men working there and giving us a sampling of various meats and cheeses. Very entertaining! More wine here... To finish it all off, we headed to Lemongrass Gelateria. All these spots had amazing food and Vivien was a very entertaining guide, giving us a lot of background and telling a few funny tales of the area we toured through. Top notch food tour!

The meeting place was easy to find with the guide on time. Alex was very knowledgeable and her bubbly personality made the tour very enjoyable. Alex's ability to connect with all her group by really trying to find out about our previous experience with food and Rome allowed her to tailor individual conversations with all her guests. One of the best tours we have done in 9 trips to Europe.

Excellent food and wine tour!

We had a wonderful half day tasting food and learning from our guide Luca. He had interesting things to say about the food and wine we sampled at each of the 5 areas we stopped at. He spoke perfect English and was glad to help us learn a few Italian words and customs. Would highly recommend this tour with Luca!

Amazing activity

This was a fun and economical activity. The train ride from Roma Termini (30 minutes) was worth it. Be aware the platform in Rome for this particular train is at the very end of the platform so allow time! Our hosts met us at train station. We did a short walk to talk about history of the town then proceeded to the restaurant. We were introduced to 2 wines. Then had time to try them along with a small charcuterie plate. We then began the process of making pasta. There were 3 different sauces to choose from. At the end we visited the tunnel under the building which was used to store wine and also used during the war as bomb shelters. You can go ahead of time and visit the small town. Trains run every hour.

What a wonderful day and excellent tour - both our tour guide Natascia and driver Giovanni made the day extra special - they were both a lot of fun. It’s a long day so be prepared for that; the hill walking is fine and not too strenuous as the pace was slow - and if the weather is kind (as it was for us) then you’ll really enjoy your day. Fun and friendly evening food tour

The food tour was great. I booked it last minute as another company had cancelled my evening booking. We started with some meats and wine, then pizza, then suppli, then the artichokes and finally all topped off with gelato. The guide Barbara was friendly, funny and caring. It was a nice mix of walking, history and food chat. Highly recommend this tour.

Amazing experience

It was an amazing experience learning cooking and enjoying dinner with other fellow travelers from all over the world (US, Canada, Israel and French Island near Madagascar called Reunion…our teacher Carlos was amazing and patient correcting mistakes made by some of us…it’s worth the experience and definitely recommend.
