What are people saying about Charleston

A meaningful experience, on several levels
Wonderful park service guide- both entertaining and very informative. Since we were on the first tour of the day, we had the privilege of participating in the flag raising. This was very moving experience. Learning the multiple perspectives of those who built, attacked, and defended Fort Sumter was very meaningful. I will never forget touching the fingerprints of enslaved people, forever embedded in the bricks. I’m very grateful for the whole experience.

Delicious and informative
Our tour guide Perry was AMAZING! The food was delicious. The time was just enough to try different selections of Charleston’s cuisine and learn history for the city. Get ready to burn the calories with the on foot mini tour of the town, which was appreciated in between the food stops.

Highly Recommended This Tour
We had an absolutely fantastic walking tour through the South of Broad and French Quarter areas of Charleston, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Al. He struck the perfect balance between being incredibly informative and genuinely entertaining—his sense of humor kept everyone engaged, while his deep knowledge of Charleston’s history really brought the city to life. Al did an excellent job keeping our group organized and on track without ever making it feel rushed or rigid. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everyone felt included throughout the experience. What really stood out was how effortlessly he handled questions—no matter what we asked, he had a clear, thoughtful answer and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. If you’re considering a walking tour in Charleston, I highly recommend this one—especially if you get Al as your guide. It was a highlight of our trip and a wonderful way to explore such a historic and beautiful part of the city.

Great combo of history and local food!
Our tour guide Dana was spectacular! She answered every question we had and gave a great overview of the area and history. Food selections were fabulous - although the intro said: "The four stops will equal a full meal for most people", the food stops equaled about 3 meals per person. The food stops were well organized - we sat right down, the food came quickly and it was all delicious!
