What are people saying about Charleston

Great experience
Ferry was on time. Information was great from the rangers. Ferry ride was comfortable. Fort Sumter visit was just long enough to learn about it but not too long. Flag raising was special as the first boat of the day. I recommend this activity but book in advance!!!

Tour of Historic Charleston
The guide was very informative and knew a lot about the history of the Charleston area and history of the US and beyond. I was able to ask questions and they were answered. We spent a lot more time and it did not seem rushed. Corrected me at times when I was wrong. was able to pick up a lot of information about history and correlated to the history that I already knew. Also talked about architecture of buildings.

Incredible historical knowledge!
Had a great two hour walking tour with Mark. He was entertaining and was very passionate about Charleston. He was a history buff and we really enjoyed the stories he shared with us. We learned a lot. It was hot and humid on the day of our tour but Mark did his best to find shade for us as we walked down streets and passageways.

Great fun with an excellent tour guide!
Simon was a wonderful tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time at each location to eat and have drinks. The food at the first two locations were excellent, the second two were ok but the drinks we bought at the last stop Carmella's made up for it; they were delicious. All in all I would definitely take this tour again or even another tour with Simon!

Clifford the Rottweiler Ghost
We had Vannah as our guide and she was fantastic. You could see how much passion she has for the content and she had a very unique way of bridging the stories to history. Overall very enjoyable. We had our three children with us ages 10-15 and they all enjoyed themselves too.

So much fun!
We booked this tour on July 4th for the history aspect and getting to see some areas in Charleston we knew we wouldn't want to miss seeing. The trip did not disappoint! Our guide was a hoot! He had a fantastic personality and was very humorous and knowledgeable about the history of Charleston. Unfortunately, a guy along the route starting taunting and yelling about the horse and abusive use of the carriage. Our guide was extremely professional and polite and addressed the man in a positive manner. The horses here are so loved and cared for and it shows. Our guide also informed us of just how much care and attention goes into these amazing gentle giants everyday. Charlie was our horse and everyone could tell he was very well loved and taken care of. I would absolutely recommend this trip in Charleston!

Mike Brown is an...
Mike Brown is an excellent storyteller. This is not a scary ghost tour, way more educational. The walk is not hard. Excellent for 18 and above as younger folks may want to move around more. If you like to learn history behind the ghost tales - he is your guy!

Highlight of our trip!
Evans was an incredible tour guide with a vast amount of knowledge about the history of Charleston. Not only did we learn about the history of the buildings, who lived there past and present, but also about the role Charleston played in the Revolutionary and Civil War, along with notable anti-succession players including John Smalls, Francis Marion and all the women who played roles in making Charleston great.

Charleston French Quarter or Brinch Food Tour
The Charleston food tour was very entertaining. Our tour guide Robin was very knowledgeable and had lots of great stories about Charleston. Don't miss this one if you're in Charleston. Of course a good food tour always depends on the guide and Robin is an excellent guide.

Bill was filled with...
Bill was filled with knowledge of the history of Charleston as well as a love of Charleston. The walk was not too strenuous and he attempted to keep us in the shade as much as possible, thankfully. We enjoyed his tour and would recommend it for those who would like to hear a portion of Charleston’s past.

Charleston harbor cruise May 2026
The staff is very friendly and the views are magnificent. I would recommend to get their early and wait right at the entrance to make sure to be one of the 1st on-board so that you can choose where to sit... my preference are the seats at the very front of the boat.

It was our first time in...
It was our first time in Charleston and we happened to find this ghost tour looking for things to do ahead of our travels. So glad we did! Vanna was awesome and so knowledgeable, the tour was fun and informative. The people in our tour group were very funny and enjoyable to walk around with. Who wouldn’t love a good boozy bar crawl with a great amount of boos 👻?
