The guide seemed to talk about himself a lot. Frankly, it was boring. I was solo and had hoped that it would be more fun

Holy Ebenezer Scrooge! Well someone is having a bad holiday season huh ? You mean to tell me you’re sitting at home throwing out bad reviews on Christmas Day. I mean at least wait a day. No wonder you were a solo traveler… 😅 ok ok just kidding.
But for real it’s almost too obvious and kind of funny how I went thru my records and don’t have a single solo traveler booked for December or even November. So either you went on this tour over two months ago and decided to wait until Christmas Day to leave a review, you have the wrong business, or this is most likely a competitor just bashing other Charleston tours. Regardless, merry Christmas and happy holidays back to you.
For future guests I hope you read the multitude of other reviews as this one seems a little suspicious. And if it is real and you have that bad of a time with me on a tour, just talk to me after the tour and I’ll provide a refund. No biggie. Obviously based on other reviews we usually don’t have too many problems. Wishing everyone a happy holiday season ! -Capt B

Captain Bryan was great. He was super knowledgeable and you could tell he was passionate about the history of Charleston. This tour focuses more on the historical lore surrounding ghost rather than a spooky ghost tour but we loved it.

Captain Bryan was the absolute best tour I’ve ever had. From the tales of King Joffrey the turtle to a former Vice President’s exhumed corpse, Captain Bryan told accurate historical stories backed by his own research with a twist! Ghosts and spirits across multiple cultures were brought to life on this bar crawl. Can’t recommend this tour enough!

Captain Bryon knows a ton of Charleston history and uses that to put his ghost stories in context. It was educational and engaging, and everyone in my group had a blast! Highly recommend the Boo Hag ghost tour, particularly to history buffs.

Definitely worth booking your ghost tour with Brian. Went to a couple of bars and learned so much history about Charleston and the local ghost lore. Look forward to going on some of Brian’s other tours.

This tour is a really good time, Captain Bryan is both knowledgeable and entertaining. He has some obscure information you might not get from other tour guides. Keep an open mind and remember this is the South and not all the history here is pleasant, but needs to be remembered. I would definitely recommend another tour with him!

Pure gold! Captain Bryan is a proven winner. I have gone on so many tours in the area, but rest assured if you are fortunate enough to get into this one you will get it all. The history and ghost stories are not only told with accuracy, unlike other guides who tend to bend the truth a bit, but are told with such personality and passion you are sure to have a scare and a laugh. The bars are not so bad either lol.

Bryan was great! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Charleston. He was able to share his wealth of knowledge of the TRUE ghost stories of Charleston in a way that was intriguing as well as funny. Not only did we learn about the ghosts in the area but he was very educated on the history of Charleston and brought us back through time to tell the stories of the spirits roaming the streets to this day! Bryan gave us great beverage recommendations and you can tell he loves the town he grew up in and is well liked and respected by the locals around town. I would highly recommend hanging out with Bryan for a night and experiencing his knowledge, passion and humor. He made the experience feel less like a typical tour and more like sharing stories with a group of friends. Thanks again for being so great and accommodating Bryan!
