A Breathtaking Vatican Experience with Exceptional Service”

Angie_L, Mar 2026
The Vatican tour was truly breathtaking, filled with incredible sights that brought history to life. Our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and kind, making the experience even more meaningful. The company went above and beyond by reuniting a family member who had purchased a separate ticket—something that seemed nearly impossible, especially right before Easter—ensuring she was able to join our group. Their effort made the experience even more memorable, and I’m incredibly grateful. I would highly recommend this tour.

Scam

Imre_F, Mar 2026
They should never trust Viator. I enter an internet site that says 25 Euros per person to visit the Vatican Museum and I finished paying much, much more. This is a scam.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Dear Customer, We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that the price of the product you purchased does not refer only to the entrance ticket to the Vatican Museums, but also includes the guided tour and the related organizational services. For this reason, the cost is different from and higher than that of a simple entrance ticket purchased without a guide. Therefore, the service you booked included not only admission, but also the presence and assistance of the guide, which are an integral part of the experience and its price. We kindly invite you to reconsider the term you used, as we do not believe it is correct to describe as a “scam” a service that was regularly purchased and provided as described. We remain at your disposal for any further clarification. Kind regards, Gyash Tours

I am not one to leave a...

Allison_N, Nov 2025
I am not one to leave a negative review but I was really disappointed in this tour. It was very unorganized for entry and they left early from the meeting point. Once we were inside the guide gave us too much information that didn’t even really go along well with what we were seeing. I know that might sound silly to have too much information but it was not interesting and made the tour drag on. They provide speakers that clip onto your ear that are very uncomfortable and do not stay on and not easy to hear the guide. The guides English was also difficult to understand. For the $240 we paid for this tour I expected a lot more history and knowledge.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, thank you for sharing your experience and we are sorry that the tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel did not meet your expectations. On particularly busy days, access can unfortunately be less smooth than expected and the management of entrances may give the impression of a lack of organisation, despite the coordination work carried out by our staff; we apologise for this. All the guides who work with us are fully licensed, hold an official guiding badge and have passed specific exams in order to practise their profession: their role is precisely to provide an in-depth historical and artistic overview. However, we understand that the level of detail and the amount of information may not always match every participant’s personal preferences, and your feedback helps us to better balance the pace and content of the tour. From a language point of view as well, guides are required to demonstrate an advanced level in the language in which they conduct the tour; we are nonetheless sorry if the accent or pronunciation made it difficult for you to follow the explanations. As for the earphones, the radio systems used inside the Vatican Museums are supplied by the museum’s internal service and are not owned or directly controlled by our company; this does not change the fact that we regret the inconvenience and we will pass your comments on to the relevant parties. If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification. Kind regards, Gyash srls

The guide, Peter/Petro ...

Sosandnec, Nov 2025
The guide, Peter/Petro knew everything about the Vatican. He navigated our group through the hoards of people and was very patient with the tour members

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Dear customer, thank you for your comment. We are glad that you found our staff knowledgeable and patient in guiding the group, even among the large crowds. We invite you to visit our website gyashtours.com, where you can find more tours and experiences. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Amazing tour with Alexandra!

Mary_G, Oct 2025
I was there with my husband and 9 year-old son. I was unsure as to whether or not my son would be able to stay interested for the length of the tour (as 2.5-3 hours is a big ask for a 9 year old) but Alessandra was so knowledgeable and engaging, with all of us but especially with Jacob to keep him interested, that he was interested right to the end. We learnt so much in a short time from Alessandra who is a very warm and personable character - the time flew by very quickly. I highly recommend.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Dear customer, thank you for your comment. We are delighted that the tour was engaging for your whole family and that even the youngest participant was able to stay interested right until the end. It is very rewarding for us to know that you found our staff knowledgeable, warm and able to make the explanations clear and enjoyable. We invite you to visit our website gyashtours.com, where you can find more tours and experiences. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Disappointing

annette_w, Oct 2025
Our tour guide had a scooter accident, they called and moved our tour to 5:00. It was terrible. The lady (can't remember her name) was rude and ran us through to the Vatican, she didn't speak good English. We didn't get to see the Basilica, it was closed. I'm supposed to receive a partial refund. Not happy!!

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, thank you for sharing your experience and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the rescheduling of your tour and for what happened during your visit. The change of time was necessary due to an accident involving the guide originally assigned to your group; this was an unexpected event beyond our control, but we fully understand that the new schedule had a negative impact on your experience. We are also sorry that you found the lady who accompanied you rude and that her English was difficult to follow; this is not the standard of care and quality we want to provide, and your feedback will be used to carry out the appropriate internal checks. The closure of the Basilica depends entirely on the opening hours and decisions of the Vatican authorities and, at certain times or in the presence of special events, it can unfortunately happen that access is no longer possible. As for the partial refund, this is handled according to the procedures of the booking platform used. If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Marginal audio

Charles_B, Oct 2025
It’s very crowded even on a quiet day. The communication system was marginal quality. The guide was very knowledgeable but had a strong accent which when coupled with poor audio and lots of information made it hard to understand half of what was said.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, thank you for sharing your experience. We are aware that the area can feel very crowded even on so-called “quiet” days and that, combined with audio systems that are not always ideal, this can make it harder to follow the explanations. We appreciate that you found the guide very knowledgeable, and we are sorry that the strong accent, together with the less-than-perfect audio and the amount of information, made it difficult to fully understand much of what was being said. Your feedback will help us improve both the choice of devices and the way we train our staff in terms of pace and clarity of communication. If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Fantastic tour. Look no further

Rutvik_V, Oct 2025
Very professional and fantastic guided tour. Look no further. Highly recommended. Very knowledged and took time to explain everything.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, thank you for your comment. We are glad to hear that the guided experience met your expectations and that you appreciated the professionalism and detailed explanations. We invite you to visit our website gyashtours.com, where you can find more tours and experiences. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Frustrating Experience

Tracey_I, Oct 2025
The tour was canceled after waiting in line for 45 minutes. While waiting in line something happened inside the museum and the tour guide said they closed the the museum and for us to work with Viator to get a refund.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, we are truly sorry that, after a long wait, your tour was cancelled due to an unexpected closure of the museum for internal reasons. In such situations, the decision is taken directly by the museum/Vatican authorities for safety or operational reasons, and guides are required to stop the visit. As for the refund, the procedure is handled through the booking platform (e.g. Viator); if you encounter any difficulties, you can contact us with your date and booking number and we will gladly assist you. If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Busy day at the Vatican made easy

Erin_M, Oct 2025
We toured on a day of a huge jubilee event. This tour allowed us to navigate the crowds with ease. Our guide was very good and informative. You can tell this company works hard to keep all the moving parts run smoothly.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, thank you for your comment. We are glad that, even on such a crowded Jubilee day, the organisation and the guide helped you enjoy a smooth and pleasant experience. We invite you to visit our website gyashtours.com, where you can find more tours and experiences. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Scam! Run away

Carleen_L, Oct 2025
This was the worst experience! If I could give a negative number it would be negative 10. Completely disorganized! The company sent us with a non English speaking guide. We paid for skip the line, yet waited in the line for 45 minutes. It took an hour to actually enter the location. Then it took 15-30 minutes for our, barely English speaking guide to give us recorders and show us the entrance and exit! We would have missed half the event if I'd didn't insist on making sure we made it. Only 3 of the 8 people were able to complete, although still rushed, the entire paid excursion. This is just a scam. Viator should not be affiliated with this group. It was my first and very negative experience. Not sure I will ever be willing to book through Viator again.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, the waiting time in line, even with a “skip-the-line” service, is linked to security checks managed directly by the Vatican authorities and, at certain times, can unfortunately reach several tens of minutes; however, the overall entry time you describe is clearly excessive, and the way the group was managed did not meet the standard we aim to provide. Your comment will help us review the timing and organisation (meeting point, entry, initial explanations), especially when guests have fixed schedules or time-sensitive events. As for refunds or any review of your booking, the procedure is handled through the booking platform; if you wish, you can contact us with your date and booking number so that we can look into your specific case in more detail. If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Honestly this tour was...

Vivian_N, Oct 2025
Honestly this tour was chaotic and disorganized. I don't want to name my guide here, but felt they were flippant toward some questions from our group and sped walked us through what was supposed to be an enjoyable experience. Honestly we were moving through the museum at breakneck speed to the point where multiple folks in our group were vocalizing how hot they were / needed water / were sweating so much. We couldn't hear most of what was being presented to us during the museum tour and we weren't given much info on the Sistine Chapel - we ended up just googling fun facts while inside and when we got out. We appreciated that we could skip the line to the basilica, especially during this busy Jubilee season, but the tour ending was abrupt and left us confused as to where to go. If you want to skip the line, no BS - book this tour. If you want something slower and more informative, I highly highly recommend looking elsewhere - especially if you have those in your group that are of older age or not as able-bodied.

Modernizqtion

Marc_S, Oct 2025
Would have rather seen less and understood more rather than sprinting through the Vatican Museum at breakneck speed. Get with the times and encourage visitors to use a virtual guide with gps prompts or other means to tell visitors what they are seeing at their own pace. Would also prevent language barrier with guides.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, thank you for your feedback – you are highlighting a very important point: not everyone wants to “see as much as possible”; many guests would rather see a bit less and understand a lot more. The pace of the tour is often influenced by entrance times, visitor flows and crowd management, but your comment will help us remind our guides to aim for a more balanced rhythm, with room for pauses and for focusing on the key explanations rather than rushing. If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Knowledgeable Guide

Thalia_R, Oct 2025
Everything on time, our guide Roberto was very knowledgeable and he answered all out questions and took his time touring each section and didn’t rush thru the museums. It was a very nice experience

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, thank you for your comment. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed an unhurried visit, with clear explanations and time for all your questions, making the overall experience very pleasant. We invite you to visit our website gyashtours.com, where you can find more tours and experiences. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Vatican good, tour guide bad.

Matthew_W, Oct 2025
I mean, if you’re stuck buying these tickets, I get why you’d buy them, the Vatican is worth seeing. But in terms of this “service” you don’t really skip any lines, the people aren’t very helpful, and the whole process is chaotic. Essentially they have an employee guide a large group of people to the security, and once past security some guy gives you the 20 euro ticket you’d get if you bought at the Vatican anyways. Overall feel a bit scammed.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, thank you for sharing your point of view – we fully understand that you felt the service did not deliver the benefit you were expecting. Our pre-booked entrance and escort options are based on reserved tickets and logistical support up to security and the correct access point, but they cannot change or reduce security checks or crowd levels, which are managed solely by the Vatican. This means that, especially at certain times of day, some waiting in line is still possible. The final price reflects not only the face value of the ticket itself, but also organisation, on-site staff and the conditions applied by the booking platform through which the service was purchased. That said, your feedback is helpful and will be used to make our product descriptions clearer, so that guests better understand what the service can and cannot provide. If you wish, you can contact us with your date and booking number for any further checks. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Delayed over 1.5 hours

Janice_T, Sep 2025
This partner of viator held us over about 1.5 hour to start tour. 3 people did not arrive because of delayed traffic. As well we’re were over 15 minutes late for tour group entry so had to get on the line for skip the line. not that I do not believe that we hold up old up 5-10 minutes for some slightly delayed people. But held up 16 for of us for these 3. Then once in they arrived had to bathroom and tour continued to delay. Vatican museum tour was then rushed to move thru sites. Basically 11:45am tour time did not end till after 3pm and did not have any Vatican time yet. But expected to be 2.5 hours turned into full day and little time for Vatican.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience. We understand your frustration about the long delay at the start and the feeling that the whole group was slowed down by a few late arrivals, with a “domino effect” on the rest of your day. For Vatican Museums visits, entry is managed through specific time slots and, when some guests arrive late or need additional stops (such as bathroom breaks), the guide has to balance the need to respect the entrance schedule with the desire not to leave anyone behind, while still complying with the rules and controls imposed by the Vatican authorities. Your review highlights that, in this case, the balance between waiting for latecomers, keeping to the time slot and the actual time spent inside the Museums did not feel satisfactory, and that the visit itself seemed rushed compared to what you were expecting at the time of booking. We will use this feedback to pay closer attention to how delays from individual participants are handled and how this is communicated to the rest of the group, so that any schedule changes and their impact on the overall duration are explained more clearly. We are sorry that, as a result of these factors, you felt you had less time than expected to fully enjoy the Vatican part of your day. If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Fabulous experience in The Vatican.

Peter_M, Sep 2025
The guide we ha (Roberto) was fantastic. He brought the museums to life. Very impressed also with the agency who advised how we could visit The Basilica without coming back to pay more for a tour. The WHOLE experience was absolutely first rate. Mind you, the setting does help. L

Little more guidance needed

Dianne_G, Aug 2025
The tour guide was very knowledgeable however st the end of the tour she abruptly ended the tour and left some of our family in the middle of St. Peter’s square without explanation they should go up to St. Peter’s basilica . Others who had some mobility issues were ushered in another direction again with no idea where they were headed. It was a bit odd. We enjoyed seeing all we saw. It was amazing.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Dear customer, thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the visit itself and found the guide very knowledgeable, but we also understand your concerns about the way the tour ended, especially the feeling that it was brought to a sudden close and that your family was split up in St Peter’s Square without clear explanations. At the end of guided routes, it can happen that guests are directed towards different exits or paths (towards the Basilica, towards the square, or along routes more suitable for those with mobility issues), depending on security arrangements and visitor-flow management set by the Vatican authorities; precisely for this reason, it is important that our staff clearly explain where each group is going and what happens after the official end of the tour. Your feedback is very helpful in reminding our guides how essential it is to communicate more clearly where the tour finishes, which route to follow afterwards and what options are available for guests with specific needs, so that no one feels left “in the middle” of the square or sent in another direction without really knowing what comes next, even when the area is crowded and timings are tight. We are nevertheless glad that, despite these organisational aspects, you still enjoyed what you were able to see and found the overall visit amazing. If you wish, you can contact us for any further clarification. Kind regards, Gyash srls

Disorganized Tour

Lisa_T, Jul 2025
Although the tour we signed up for said it was the "English speaking tour", there were others in our group that spoke 2 different languages for which the tour guide accomodated which meant every statment was repeated in three languages, often in a speedy thick Italian accent. Unfortunately, we felt as though we understood about 5-10% of what was being relayed. We also started late as they seemed to be pulling people that they were selling to from the street. In addition, we arrived at our tour time only to be told that they sent us a message that our tour had been delayed one hour (we never received any message) so had to mill around for an hour waiting - it completely messed up our plans for the rest of the day. The "skip the line" at the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel was nice but then we were left wondering where we were supposed to go in to the Basilica (he told us one set of instrucions that did not seem to exist), which was very frustrating.

Mary_S, Jun 2025
It is a far walk from the meeting point to the start of the tour. Very difficult for elderly people who are limited with gait. They should have a drop off at the front of the tour for people that require a little extra time.

Tammy_C, Jun 2025
The most disorganized tour I have ever taken. The tour started an hour and a half late. They overbooked and had to put us with another group that wasn’t in our language. The tour guide was great and did everything he could to make it up, speaking dual languages to accommodate us! But the tour company itself was too disorganized and too expensive for what we got.

Brilliant guide

Emma_M, Jun 2025
Roberto was a brilliant and informative guide and made the tour so interesting. He was very attentive to each and every one of us and I’m so glad we got him for our tour. Thank you so much Roberto.

Good tour but the place is crazy busy!!

Teri_W, May 2025
Alexa was a great tour guide & a wealth of knowledge! She did a good job, even tho the Vatican museum was packed with tours! The headsets did not work very well but they are issued by the Vatican! Amazing pieces of art in the museum but you are hurried thru so quickly that you do not have time to stop and look at anything, as was every other tour group. Thanks to Alexa for getting us thru the maze!

Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel Tour

Teri_H, May 2025
We booked this tour through Viator and our local tour guide was Rocco with Gyash Tours. We’re so glad we did. We needed to make a last minute change to our tour and Rocco went out of his way to make it happen. Talk about skipping the line!!!! WOW. You’ll know what I mean once you’re there! Well worth the extra money. We highly recommend this company and tour.

Decepcionante

CelsoPinheiro_A, Apr 2025
