This tour to the colosseum and the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum is very difficult and strenuous. There are many, many steps up and up and up and down and down and down. You’d better be ready. Our tour guide was very good!!! She had a lot of trouble keeping those in her group together!! The tour guide has her rules that she has to abide by and the US citizens completely ignored her instructions and delayed the tour many times. Due to the delays, we don’t make it down to the Roman Forum. This is no place for children and least of all babies!! My friend and I complied with all of her instructions.

The first scheduled time got canceled. Had to call customer service and reschedule. The guide was very rushed trying to do two tours back to back. As a result we hurried through each site without a lot of explanation or time to take in what we were seeing and experiencing. She had limited knowledge of the history of the sites.

Untrustworthy. I lost $400 as Viator said that it’s impossible to change the timings of the tour and recommended me to book the same tour on different date. They promised me that they will look into it but book another one which I did. As soon as I booked they emailed me that they are unable to change and they cannot refund me the money for the first booking. On the same day, tour guide called me from Italy and told that they have changed the timings to 2PM. So, I end up buying two tours to collesium but used only one. Lost $400.
Viator didn’t even bothered to reply back. Never again will book with Viator. Very bad experience. Trip advisor should not be recommending them.

We waited with a number of other tourists at the meeting point for this tour. No tour guide turned up and when I contacted the company on the number provided there was no answer. Tour start time was 10.30 and I received an email at 10.32 cancelling. Really disappointed that advanced cancellation was not given to allow us to make alternate arrangements. We were only in Rome one day and had to make our way back to the station having waited nearly one hour. Very disappointed

Sylvia was great! Very knowledgeable. Only thing I would change would be making the last stop the forum not the colosseum. My husband and I wanted to spend more time there as there was a lot we did not get to see.
