Please note that the Vatican Museums provide free entrance for visitors who are (according to the requirements stated by the Vatican City) at least 74% disabled by presenting the appropriate certification and, if one needs assistance by another person, that person also receives a free entrance. Please inform us when you are booking if you fit into these requirements and we will remove the pricing of the entry tickets from the price of the tour.
As this is a walking tour with steps and staircases, comfortable walking shoes and a bottle of water are strongly recommended.
Please advise if any travelers have mobility concerns so that we can best accommodate you.
At the end of your tour, you are required to return the headset provided to you to your guide. In the event that you do not return the headset, you will be subject to a fine of €100 for lost property.
Each traveler must present a valid passport or government issued photo ID that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Vatican Museums.

No other way to see the Chapel beside early in the morning! Beautiful time spent in outside garden area. This tour allowed for ample time to sit in the Chapel and admire the art. Plenty of history provided to explain what we would see since you are supposed to be quiet inside. Mary was an informative and excellent tour guide. In the crowds she maneuvered us for excellent viewing. Private group- of course was perfect. Would highly recommend Mary and this tour!

Early morning is the only way to go!

Time in line was very limited. Met promptly at 7:45, moved to the line, waited 15 min for doors to open and after that, no lines. When we came out, there was a line at least 3 hours long …in the hot sun. It was crazy busy even at the very beginning of the day. Beautiful, I’m glad we had the opportunity to see it.

Our guide, Paula was terrific. Very knowledgeable with a sense of humor. She kept us moving through crowded rooms, making it more comfortable The Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica were outstanding. I was disappointed that the tour didn't start with the Sistine Chapel though because that's what drew me to this tour. The information given on-line said we would be the first one's in the Sistine Chapel. We didn't get to the chapel until halfway, or later, through the tour.

The visit to the Sistine Chapel is later on in the tour as you get to go through a private passageway to enter Saint Peter's Basilica without having to wait in line. This passageway is only accessible if you are with a guide and we do need to go through the Vatican Museums in order to reach the Sistine Chapel. This tour also provides entrance before the Vatican Museums are open to the public, therefore it is actually less crowded than usual! Our guide Frank, met us at the designated area on time, we were very impressed at how organised he was giving us lots of very interesting information while waiting to enter the Vatican, once inside his level of knowledge was incredible I have been on tours of the Vatican before without a guide but Frank made it come alive a very memorable experience would certainly recommend it
