You will cover an area of approximately 8,5 miles (14km). The difficulty level of the tour is leisure (or intermediate with a child seat or child extension mounted on the bicycle).
Are the tours safe? The answer is: Absolutely! The tours follow carefully planned routes which have limited access to traffic, and some have no traffic at all, meaning you are able to enjoy your ride around the city in total relaxation and safety and you won't have to worry about traffic
Infants under 1 year are not allowed to participate for safety reasons.
Infants aged 1-4 years travel on a child seat (with load capacity of up to 49 lbs or 22 kg) and come on the tour free of charge

For children aged 5-8 years a child extension (child streamliner) is provided.
Children aged 9 and above can autonomously ride on an appropriately sized E-bikes
Minimum of 4 participants applies (total number of participants on tour). There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is 3 or less passengers on the tour. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative for your tour or full refund.
We require that all customers wear a helmet on the tour (provided for free).
Please note: In the event of official/public celebrations and happenings in the city center of Rome, the company reserves the right to substitute one or more of the included highlights with alternative ones.
Our bike equipment carries a weight limitation of 300 lbs (136 kg)
Not recommended for travelers who are not self-confident on a bike.

Great overview of Rome

An electric bike tour is a good way to cover a lot of territory and see Rome from different vantage points. We covered all of the main highlights with several stops along the way. The crowds and traffic were a bit problematic, but certainly not the fault of the tour/guide

Navigating on the e-bike was so fun, and the hills were a breeze. The morning flew by! Arina was an excellent tour guide and we learned a lot! The group wasn't too big and everyone was able to keep up.

Aaliyah was a wonderful guide. Our family of four lucked out and were the only four on her tour. We chose morning tour for less people/traffic in the streets. Saw all the key spots. Learned alot and had a blast. Super fun! The BEST and ONLY way to learn about ROME on Day 1 of your trip!! Highly recommend. 🙌

Booking canceled after arrival on the premises

Beware. Booked online through VATOR. Took a taxi to this location near the Colosseum for my chore the next morning. On arrival, they said there was a glitch, and there was not going to be a tour for me. They canceled and refunded my tour ticket. However, I was out taxi fare and lost a precious day, which could've been more productively utilized. Very unprofessional. Book at your own risk.

Dear Minocher, I am very sorry to read about your experience with us two weeks ago, and I apologize for the inconvenience. For the benefit of other travelers, I take the opportunity to give the full account of the matter and how our staff handled it. Due to human error, a tour departure that was supposed to be blocked out was mistakenly left 'open' overnight. You booked this 8:30 am tour departure just after midnight, and so we only realized our error when you arrived to our shop in the morning for the check-in. I understand how incredibly frustrating and disappointing it can be to find that a tour company cannot honor one's booking, especially if this occurs at the time of check-in. We take full responsibility for this error and the inconvenience that it caused, and it is for this reason that we urgently set out to look for solutions. We first tried to see if any of our other tours with morning departure (or alternatively, a bike rental service with a GPS track of the same tour you booked) might be of interest to you. When none of this was found suitable, we inquired with our colleagues at another bike tour business in the vicinity to see if they have a morning departure of a Rome City Bike Tour (the kind you had originally booked with us). Since they promptly confirmed availability for a shortly-upcoming departure, and you appeared to find the solution suitable, we proceeded with facilitating this option. We immediately requested full refund from Viator for your reservation. In addition - in recognition of our error and wishing to make amends for it - we also phoned the other business to let them know we would cover the cost of your tour with them. We therefore instructed them to not require payment of you - or if payment had already been done, to reimburse it. It was only after receiving this review that we learned you joined the tour but insisted on not accepting the gesture of doing so at our cost. In reading your feedback, it would also appear that our proposed solution of the tour was not really adequate for you - and I'm really sorry if our staff misunderstood that. I assure you that if this had been clear to us we wouldn't have stopped looking for solutions until finding one that is definitely suitable for you - up until having one of our staff members do the tour you booked just for you, on the spot. I would be very grateful if you were willing to share additional information on your experience regarding the solution we offered and facilitated as per above, to understand what we could improve in our customer service. I reiterate that I am really sorry for the root cause of the inconvenience - the human error - but I believe that however rarely, an error can occur, and that our strength and pride is the professionalism with which we handle it when it does.
